Hello
My name is Polo, I’m 37 years old and I’m from a little town next to the beautiful forest of Fontainebleau, were I grew and spent most of my life.
For the three last year’s I’ve been exploring the mountains and rivers of France in an old camper van I fixed up and totally refurbished. I used the websites Wwoof and Workaway to connect with people that wanted help with their projects and I was helping people I met on the road along the way. I was also hiking as much as possible.
To earn a living I harvest ,bag and sell Birch Sap around Paris Region during spring.
I've decided to continue my path outside of France with a backpack, my smile and my good mood.

I've been living the 7 past years in research of beautiful landscapes full of preserved nature, mountains and forests but also a slower pace of life with the aim of reducing my consumption. Doing slow long term trips first in the south of France after in eastern europe( romania, bulgaria and greece) and then south America, mainly by bus, hitchhiking, boat or foot.
Now I want to discover Asia, it's culture, traditions and nature.

I do yoga, gym, nordic walking, hiking, cycling... Really often. I love reading and having interesting conversations on all and any subject. I am curious by nature and love learning new skills, I work hard and learn things quickly. I love cooking and I’ve volunteered as either head or second chef for a couple of festivals with sometimes having more than a hundred people to serve.
And over all I LOVE fixing stuff (yeah anything that needs to be fixed) or at least try too.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I'm an electrician by trade and a handyman by nature. I enjoy the challenge of trying to fix broken things and I find it really gratifying to give an object a second life. I worked with a friend at an old mill with the aim of restarting a water wheel from 1907 which was originally producing 7KW of electricity. We added a new one which bumped electricity production up to 40KW. In the past I’ve fixed cars, vans, trucks, a mobile wood oven for baking bread, a remote water pump system for a 40 year old jacuzzi and electric appliances of all types…
I’m a handyman and I’ve been learning a lot in the last few years with a vision of self sufficiency and sustainability in mind. I’ve learned about wild edibles, self builds, energy production, electricity work, plumbing, mechanics, sourdough bread, permaculture and many more subjects.

I like to work with others, to teach my skills and to learn new ones. I believe when two brains work together it doesn’t simply add wisdom, it multiplies it. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile and I hope to hear from you.
