Hello / Kia ora! My name is Phoebe, I’m a 25 year old textile designer from Wellington, New Zealand. In May, I began what kiwis call their ‘OE’, or overseas experience. I am excited to have traded in my job for the pursuit of meeting all sorts of wonderful people, and getting to know their homes and local culture through Workaways.
I am of Chinese, Irish and Dutch descent. My Chinese culture has been particularly influential in my life, and I would love to share the love Chinese style… through food!
I am known for my optimism, positivity and easy going attitude. I always believe there’s a lesson to learn from what life hands you, and like to remain open to all experiences!
I am a lover of all things design, art, nature, philosophy, and of course food. I always love to see these elements during travel, and would love to learn more about these elements of your culture and country! I look forward to chatting with you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out ☺️

My skills include anything design related, sewing, cooking and cleaning, organising and tidying (which I love to do!). If you have any garments that need repairing or mending, hand them over! I also have 10 years experience of childcare and absolutely adore being around kids. Another random skill/experience I have is success with selling things second hand, so I can help you clear those old things in your house!
Outdoors, I have LOTS of weeding experience haha as well as planting trees/plants and caring for cats, dogs, rabbits, and chickens.
English is my native language and I would love to help you improve while also learning some of your language!
