Hi! My name is Monica, I'm 24 years old and from New Jersey in the United States. I recently completed my Master's degree in Community Development & Planning, and am looking forward to experiencing new things, meeting new people, and visiting new places during this post-grad time. I love listening to music, swimming, knitting, roller skating, reading, and spending time outside (preferably by a body of water!). I wasn't able to study abroad while I was in college due to Covid, so I am very excited about opportunities through Workaway!

Was könntest du arbeiten?
- Educational background: Bachelor's degree in Geography, Women's and Gender Studies with a minor in Spanish. Master's degree in Community Development and Planning. In both my undergraduate and graduate studies, my concentration was in environmental topics– I've done major projects and coursework related to food systems and food justice, political ecology, environmental gentrification and green urban planning.
- Knowledge of Spanish
- Customer service experience as an office assistant and farmers market employee
- Technical skills: grant writing, data entry, research
- Basic farming experiences through WWOOFing and working at a food justice non-profit
- Experience working with children, including nature-based education
- CPR certified, former lifeguard
