Back home, I surf every opportunity I can! I’m also a big runner, and have recently taken up trail running. I also love climbing, swimming, mountain biking, hiking and anything else outdoors!

Hey there!
My names Mikey, I’m an Aussie currently exploring Europe.

I’m back on the road travelling again after a couple of years locked down.. I’ve done all forms of travel, but can never go past Workaway and the experiences it brings!

At home, I’m a full time freelancer as a photographer and filmer. Specialising in music, short form documentary, surf filming and adventure work.

I’m on a hunt for beautiful communities, inspiring landscapes, delicious food and interesting cultures.

Im a big fan of surfing, hiking, running, climbing, diving, mountain biking. Pretty much anything outside and active. I’ve realised how important these hobbies are to me, so I’m always after an experience that allows access to at least one!

I’m really looking forward to experiences with welcoming people, a good sense of community, fulfilling work and a beautiful location.

I’m a hard worker, interested in all types of work. I’m also quite a social person, but also love my own time too. I feel I’m very easy going and relaxed, and rarely ever butt heads with anyone.

I’ve been travelling for almost 4 months in Europe already. Having walked the camino de Santiago to Finisterra (1000km) and spending a month touring around with Australian artist Xavier Rudd as the photographer, I’m ready for my next adventure!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’ve worked as a professional photographer and filmer for the past 7 years. I’ve worked with some of the biggest musicians in Australia. I film surfing, climbing, mountain biking. Pretty much everything. I’ve also more recently branched off into more adventure sports filming. So I’m more than happy to produce any content that is needed for your project.

I’m a hard worker and love getting my hands dirty. I’m a tall and strong fella, so I’m more than happy to help with everything from gardening, to intensive labour work, reaching the box of cereal on the top shelf and more!

I’m great at socialising and guiding. I’m always interesting in making new friends and including everyone!

I’d say I’m quite handy. And anything I don’t know, I can learn quickly. Back in Australia, I’ve been renovating my old 1977 VW Kombi, which has included learning how to weld from scratch.

While not being the absolute best cook, I have a big interest in cooking. I love cooking vegetarian meals and to share them with people, I also occasionally like baking!
