I am a motivated energetic 21 year old. I've spent my gap year doing an art foundation as I really enjoy all art and craft activities such as painting, drawing and sculpture. I am always up for exploring new creative pursuits. I am going to study English and philosophy next year at Bristol university as I love literature and writing. in my free time I read, draw, cook/ bake and spend time with family and friends. I love dogs, having grown up with a labradoodle, and currently own a cockapoo. I love taking dog walks down by the river. I am a great lover of the outdoors, doing a lot of hiking and exploring on family holidays. I have visited Spain, France, Italy, New Zealand and Austria with my family and friends and have loved exploring the culture and terrain of these different countries. I’m a real foodie and have worked in cafes and restaurants. My family is pescatarian and we have a really great food culture at home cooking dishes from all over the world.
I have now done two years of Workaway trips. I spent a month in Austria, one week in a family home near Graz helping with childcare and renovation tasks, and 2 weeks painting a mural for a family with a smallholding. I gained so much confidence travelling on my own and some great connections with those i stayed with. Then last year I went to Hungary, working in a holiday dog care, doing physical tasks in a wooden hut and and helping out as a primary school teaching assistant with my friend. I had such a lovely time, and got even more benefit from the trip since I had found my feet when it comes to travelling alone, and felt really confident.

As a fluent English speaker and student (I received an A* in English literature A level) I could be capable of teaching English, I also have some experience as a teaching assistant in a Hungarian primary school

Was könntest du arbeiten?
I am skilled at art and craft, for instance I would be very capable of painting murals or making a decorative mosaic. I received an A* in A level art and have spent my gap year further developing my artistic skills in an art foundation course. I have painted a mural in a homestead in Austria of an ocean and beach scene and enjoyed it so much, I would love to do something like this again. I spent some time last year volunteering at a nature reserve planting a wildflower meadow . This goal required a lot of physical work pulling up weeds and digging. I have no formal training in farming or carpentry but I could lend a hand to physical tasks such as this. I did a one to one course on woodwork with a sculptor, where I made a wooden mask and a sculpture of a figure. Therefore I have some experience using handheld and machine powered tools. I did some volunteering at an animal farm/ petting zoo, completing tasks such as feeding cleaning and handling the animals. I worked with chickens, rabbits and goats mostly. I am also very comfortable around dogs as I have grown up with them as pets. I love to cook vegetarian meals for my family and i really love to bake so I would love to bring these skills to a Workaway.

I play a lot of board games with my family such as Catan and Monopoly. I enjoy film; I did a course this year in making a short film and it was screened at a local cinema. I helped to light and then edit the film.
