Hello, I'm Mélanie and I'm 24. I'm half french, half portuguese. I come from a town in the French Alps, close to Switzerland and Italy. I am a physiotherapist who wants to discover what I never experience. I enjoy the fast-paced life of the city as much as the slow life in the countryside.

I love discovering new cultures and especially new recipes. I like cooking, eating, dancing, listening and sing (badly) to music. I'm also resourceful and rather independent, even though I really enjoy talking.

According to my friends, my best quality is that I’m always up for anything.
Dancing all night? Let me grab my sneakers!
Spontaneous weekend trip? What time should I pick you up?
A Fast & Furious movie marathon (guilty pleasure, don’t judge)? I’m calling to order the pizzas.
Joining a tournament for a sport I’ve never played? "Hey ChatGPT, what are the rules of this sport?"

Up until now, I have only taken short trips within Europe, so it's time to broaden my horizons. My first Workaway experience was to California, USA, to improve my English. Now it’s time for me to keep speaking English (because it’s never good enough ;) ) or even to learn a new language.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

From my job I have experience with children. I worked in a maternity hospital. I know how to stimulate and entertain children according to their age. I also have a paramedic-level first-aid diploma. Having lived on my own, I know how to run a house. As a student job, I also worked as a cleaner.
I have little knowledge of home improvement. My level is: helping my dad with odd jobs, painting, assembling furniture...
I'm a quick learner and volunteer !!
