Hi, I’m Meike and I’m turning 19 soon. I am from Germany and I am doing a voluntary service since September 2023 at a school and boarding school for girls. The school is located in Winnipeg in Canada. I am a very open, helpful, friendly, adventurous, reliable and uncomplicated person. I like to travel, experience new things, do sports, cook & bake, work with kids and to be creative.
I already traveled to some places in Canada, but I want to see more of the country!

I would be happy if I could teach you some German, if you are interested in. But I don’t know how successful that would be because have no experience teaching anyone a new language. It also would be great if I could improve my English skills even further. :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?
I graduated in July 2023 and started 10 months of volunteering in September 2023. Since that, I live in Winnipeg with my fellow volunteers in an apartment. I practiced to do the household chores and I learned what it means to have responsibilities.
My mother tongue is German and I learned English in school for 8 years. I am improving my English skills in Winnipeg now.
I also had a summer job in an ice cream shop.
My volunteer service in Winnipeg ends at the end of June 2024. My family is coming to visit me at the end of July 2024 and we will be travelling together in Vancouver and on Vancouver Island. I would like to use the time in between my voluntary service and the vacation with my family to gain a unique experience. I am looking forward to meet new people and to learn new skills.

I really like to go swimming, hiking, climbing and to do some sport in the gym. I also really enjoy to be outside in nature and to be around lovely people!
I’m also really creative and like to design things.
Me and my family always play board games together, which is a lot of fun.
