Hello!
my names Megan and I am currently on a HWV travelling Australia for the next year. My mum has been hosting on Workaway for many years now and I am looking to do Workaway during my travels around Australia!

I am currently in Perth area.

My experience

-I'm currently on a career break as an EMT for East of England ambulance service in uk, so I have a strong knowledge of emergency and non acute medical care.

-I used to have my own photography business before my day job took over, I love photography and would love this to be part of my Workaway experience if you have any need for this for your business.

I grew up in the south west of France, my parents moved from the UK when I was 9 and did the "move to the countryside!". It was a wonderful childhood growing up on a small holdings, rolling countryside and animals.

I helped my mum & dad grow our own food in our very large vegetable garden, so I am very passionate for gardening (Sadly I only have a small balcony in england however it is full of plants!).

Horse experience: while in France I had two horses, I would love to be able to work with horses again.

I am passionate about technology as well, I worked in retail for 9 years working my way up to management in a technology retailer.

I am very keen to learn new skills and consider myself a very open minded person, I grew up helping my dad renovate our house, built extensions, work on the land and fix vehicules.

I am happy to put my hand to anything!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I think I covered a lot of my skills in the first question so I apologize if I'm repeating myself!

Firstly I'm an emergency medical technician for the East of england NHS ambulance service in england, I've been doing that for almost 4 years now (has gone very quick!)
My skills there vary from small minor injuries to sadly being involved in some very sad accidents and situations, despite some of the things I have seen and been involved with, it has given me a very valuable knowledge of dealing with life threatening condition and injuries. It also teaches you remain calm and be able to deal with stressful situations.

My other skills are growing up in the French countryside, helping my dad with working on the land, animals and renovating our old French house. I was very lucky and had two horses growing up (that was the highlight of my childhood!) and was expected to work in the vegetable and flower garden with my mum.

I speak fluent French after growing up in France so happy to help you learn french! (I'm currently trying to learn greek! as my parents live in Greece now)

I have always been keen on photography and I started up my own small photography when I was 19, I started doing weddings for free then after building up my experience and portfolio I launched Azira photography!
I worked full time for a technology retail company while building my business, managed to work my way up to retail management which meant my business had to take a back step.
I still keep my photography going however my day job has taken priority. I would absolutely love to do photography work for my host as part of my working or as help! It's still such a strong passion of mine and am happy to work with my hosts visions to get the desired look!

My mum rents out a holiday villa in greece part of the year, I designed her a website and did all her photography for her advertisements. I would be happy to do this for you! (Edit photos.... Ect.)

I love cooking and was taught to bake cakes by my wonderful grandmother and taught to cook by my mum, I was very lucky to grow up on home cooked and home grown foods. I would love to have the opportunity to cook for you and share culinary skills and meals! I love love love learning new recipes!

I also grew up helping my dad around the small farm with the animals, fixing and working on the land, repairing vehicles and renovating our old french house.
I wouldn't say I could do this on my own with no direction, however, I am a fast learner and I feel my previous experience would go towards helping any host with their renovation projects or decorating. (I helped my dad build our extension on the house! So i'm not shy mixing concrete and building walls!)
