Hello! I'm Megan, a 24 year old living in Nottinghamshire. I've spent the last 6 years living in Edinburgh, studying art and art history, volunteering, hosting exhibition and community events and working at a ceramic studio. I have recently decided to take the leap and spend time having more adventures this year!

I am passionate about the arts, being in nature and helping people, so anything that combines the three is perfect. I love meeting new people and am fascinated in hearing different life stories. In my spare time I love reading, seeing live music and anything crafty I can get my hands on. A lot of my spare time is spent either in the kitchen cooking for my family or with my sewing machine, learning new techniques and finishing projects. I love walking, hiking and swimming in the beautiful Scottish countryside, being outdoors make me feel renewed and I am keen to immerse myself in nature.

I am an independent person, keen to get stuck into tasks and learn a new skill. My work in hospitality and retail means that I am used to working well with others and adapting to new challenges. I am friendly, chatty and love the energy of a new experience, but also value time to sketch, read and reflect in quieter moments!

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Until recently, I worked in a ceramic studio and pottery painting shop so i am experienced in customer facing roles, working with others as well as supervising a team. I have also worked in multiple hospitality roles and am very comfortable communicating with the public and working in fast paced environments.

On a voluntary basis, I have worked with various community groups to organise exhibitions and artistic events, as well as volunteering for a charity providing artistic space for those with additional needs to create. By doing this, I have gained skills in event and workshop management, art teaching and have developed a huge appreciation for using art as a tool to bring joy and uplift others!

While I don't have loads of gardening experience, I am so keen to learn as I am fascinated by more self-sufficient ways of living and want to immerse myself in what this could mean for what we eat and how we live respectfully alongside nature.

I am a keen sewer (while still a beginner) so happy to get involved with any sewing or other crafting tasks!
