We are interested in lots of exploring and sightseeing, hiking, jungle treks, trying all kinds of food, nature, socialising, and learning about Latin American culture.

Beschreibung

¡Hola! We are Maxim and Nina-Mae, from Bristol, Uk and currently travelling South America. Maxim is English and Nina is English/Colombian (born in the USA and raised in England). We both want to experience everything South America has to offer, we are a completely open book!

Nina is a multidisciplinary artist, she studied Textile design in university and for the past few years has been teaching Textiles as a technical instructor at a university in Bristol. She also loves to paint, sculpt, draw, design, sew, crochet - basically do anything that involves crafts and creativity! It is her passion and what fuels her. You will often see Nina with some kind of craft in hand, and she’s always happy to teach a craft or be taught something new!

Another interest we both share is with animals, insects, reptiles and nature. We find them beautiful and fascinating, so you will often find us going on bug or reptile hunts to find the craziest critter. Nina also loves rocks, crystals and shells, which she collects and will display them at home or incorporate into her art.

Whatever the work is that needs to be done, we will do it. We are hard workers, with a lot of positivity and drive, and will always try to laugh and dance in between. Nina has a lot of creative experience, so anything artistic she’s your girl. We also have experience with gardening, floristry and handy work like grouting, house maintenance and cleaning. We are happy and open to do any task at hand.

We love to cook too! We have a lot of fun in the kitchen making delicious vegetarian food, and would be delighted to cook for others or learn new recipes along the way.

We’re both excited to contribute our skills, energy and enthusiasm to your project, and we cannot wait to connect with you.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Nina - With my degree studying Textiles I became well versed in sewing, painting, printing and dyeing of fabrics. As a multidisciplinary artist I can utilise my creativity to any kind of level, be it painting walls/furniture, tiling, mural art, designing, sculpting etc.I have also been teaching digital embroidery for the past 2 years, so I am confident with teaching.

I have experience with gardening, weeding, planting crops & harvesting, handy work like grouting, landscaping and general house maintenance. I love animals of any kind so happy to look after pets and love children too! I am a good cook (vegetarian food) so I can cook or help in the kitchen as well.

Maxim - my passion for nature has been supported by my degree in biology, giving me skills in conservation, plant and animal care. I would love to have the opportunity to better my skills in animal care and eco projects with experience through Workaways.

I have basic IT knowledge as well as general maintenance/DIY, and am also familiar with gardening. I love to cook for myself and others so would be happy to help with preparing food and general help around the house. Having grown up with four siblings, I am very used to living with others.
