Hello there!! We are Martina and Francesco, a couple of italian friends travelling in Central America togheter yuhuuu! This year we have decided to take a gap year to dedicate to the travel dimension. Our destination is Central America: the idea is to start in Mexico and travel all the way to Panama. Given our unwillingness to follow fixed itineraries and our curiosity and desire to get to know different people, cultures and traditions, Workaway seems super suited to us and the type of trip we would like to take. Besides, we think there is no better way to get to know a place than by relying on and trusting the people who live and love it!✨✨✨

I am Martina, I have 23 years old and I have a degree in Sociology. I consider myself a sunny, sociable and open-minded person. Over the past few years I have been active within Mediterranea Saving Humans (an association engaged in actions to support operations at sea and to raise social, cultural and political awareness in society to respect human rights, fight prejudice and the inclusion of migrants) and within the feminist political movement called Non Una di Meno (thanks to which I was introduced to the feminist struggles and raised awareness of the issue in my daily life). I consider myself really lucky for travelling in this beautiful places and for sharing this experience with my favourite person in the world: Francesco!

I am Francesco, and like my fantastic friend, life and travel companion Martina, I am 23 years old. I have always had various passions, including politics, sports, nature and beer. I am an open-minded person to practically everything, I like to relax in the sun or snow, but also to work hard for something I believe in. Among other things, I am also very interested in the concept of food sovereignty, an area in which I have worked thanks to the Basque association Bizilur (I have lived most of the last two years in Euskal Herria, Northern Spain).
And yes, I have never been very good at writing cover letters.
