HI there,

my name is Mark and I am a young enthusiastic guy from The Netherlands. After finishing high school (with pretty decent grades :)) and before entering university I wanted to travel for a bit!

I have lived several years of my early childhood in places like Indonesia and Mexico. Since then have travelled with my family to various great places around the world, most of the time backpacking. Now it was finally time to travel alone and Asia was the highest on my bucketlist.

Apart from reading books I get passionate about many things. Sports and music are definitely two of them. Maybe I can even entertain some guests or volunteers with the guitar or piano :) During the past 4 years I have worked in restaurants all the way from cleaning to waitering and organizing festivities so that may come in pretty handy too. Otherwise I love to be a helping hand of any kind as I'm quite handy at fixing stuff. Especially if I can 'compensate' my flight by actually making a positive impact on the climate.

I look forward exploring Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia and who knows beyond and available as of end of October!

It would be a great extra to further improve my Spanish daily conversations skills (as high school didn't really teach that). Additionally, I'm able to teach Dutch and am quite proficient at English (for what it's worth am a Cambridge certificate holder:)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

For the last couple of years I have been working in the catering industry, organizing and providing service for party's, weddings, live music, high tea's, etc. I also clean my local sports club. I often take a run in the morning and exercise in the gym quite a lot nowadays. I absolutely love music, so I play a lot of piano and started playing the guitar recently. Besides that I have gained some knowledge of electronics and digital devices, I know how they work and even can code a bit.

I am fluent in English and Dutch and can also understand Spanish. I am easy going and really enjoy working with people, both colleagues and guests to ensure all have a good time.

Was noch ...

I'm travelling for the experience but also for the activities and sightseeing that I would love to do. I want to get to know people from all over the world and just create awesome memories together. I'm eager to enjoy the nature a country has to offer. Visiting stunning landmarks or enjoying fun activities like diving or surfing are also a goal for me. I play a lot of games, physical as well as digital, and am quite fanatic :).
