Beschreibung

Hi ! We're Marie & Maria. We're from the West coast of Denmark. We're travelling around Portugal for 5 weeks in October + November and we would love to do our first workaway experience while we're there. We are looking to do a work/cultural exchange between the 30th of October to the 25th of November. We are open to any kind of work - we would just love to spend a longer period of time in one place, really getting to know it and its people.

Marie is from a small seaside town known for its beautiful beach and surfing. After spending majority of her first gap year in Australia and New Zealand, she's very keen to explore more of her own continent and enjoy the cultural diversity in Europe. In Marie's everyday life she works in a kindergarden and at a surf café - when she's not working she enjoys surfing, listening to and playing music, reading, cooking & doing analog photography.

Maria is from a small town as well, close to a town known for its art and ceramics/glassblowing etc. She works in elderly care and during the summer also at the same surf cafe as Marie. Maria enjoys drawing/painting, listening to music and is interested in fashion (we both spend many hours at the thrift stores, both together and apart ;) )

We are both very creative spirits and we love finding new outlets and environments to express ourselves in. We met each other at school and have travelled together before - never on a longer trip though, so we're very excited to do this. We are both pretty chill and down to earth people as well as hard working and responsible. We love meeting new people and discovering new perspectives on life and everything it entails.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

We have experience working in hospitality and cleaning. We both have a very good work ethic and a good head on our shoulders. We take initiative and are proactive.

We both have experience with babysitting and childcare.

Marie plays the piano, guitar and sings and would love to teach others.

Maries family is currently redoing an old cottage that was moved onto their property so she spent the summer doing a fair bit of sanding, painting, cleaning and heavy lifting.

We enjoy cooking and would say that we're pretty good at it - mostly vegetarian dishes :-)

Maria is very artistic and good at painting and drawing.

We are both very much Gen Z and have experience contributing to our works social media (Instagram stories, posts etc. to boost engagement) and would be able to help out with this. Marie is a photographer during her free time and Maria has a great eye for things like this as well.
