Beschreibung
I'm Mariah, 26, and currently residing in the suburbs with my son and dog. We enjoy exploring the woods behind our house, building projects in the backyard, cooking and baking, playing with the neighbors, and reading about plants, animals, and trains with books we get from the local library. It's a good life, but my ultimate goal is to have a homestead of my own for my family and friends. We put into practice what we can, but I've come to work away to connect with others who share the same values and gain new experiences. I've volunteered on a few farms in the past and the time we spent there has always been life changing. Enriching is a better word. I've made lifelong friends and found inspiration from other people. I've learned some things too. My main interests are permaculture and self sufficiency. I am learning Spanish too.

I can design, build, and maintain a small garden. I know some of the native plants in my area. I am capable of carpentry. I am good with animals and kids; I know my way around a kitchen too. I can speak conversational spanish. I haven’t mastered any skill yet, but I want to learn and will put the time in to do it right.

What I want out of my experience through work away is to learn new things that will help me reach my goals while helping other people reach theirs. Travel is a teacher in itself and one of the ways I'd like to raise my son is through travel. Get out and get involved.
We can commit to 2 weeks up to a month with potentially longer stays.
