Hi! My name is Mamie (it's like Jamie with an M) and I'm from Vancouver, Canada. I studied Criminology, Psychology, and Education in the University of Toronto and previously worked as a freelance makeup artist. I am TEFL certified and have taught abroad. I am currently working as a remedial instructor for individuals with learning disabilities. I joined Workaway for the chance to meet different people and learn about local cultures.
I love nature and the ocean; some of my favourite activities are hiking and swimming! I also enjoy reading and drawing in my free time. I've gone bungee-jumping and scuba diving before, so I definitely won't say no to a new adventure.
I am a hard worker, always thinking of ways in improve as an individual, and I'm not shy to jump on new opportunities. You won't regret working with me :)
