Beschreibung

Nurse and electrical engineer, with a passion for traveling, spending time in the nature and adrenaline sports - windsurfing, winter sports, climbing and pretty much everything we get a chance to try.

We are sociable and love to host our friends for a home cooked dinner or a bbq. Afterwards there is nothing better than a glass of cold beer and debating or playing board games.

We started our journey in Australia "work awaying" for one month in Perth Hills working on a farm with horses. Afterwards we found a job in Carnarvon on a tomato farm. Our second workaway was far away - in Mount Barker, where we've been taking care of breeding dogs and their little puppies, also doing some gardening and helping around the house. For the last 4 months we've been working in Marlo at the bar and in the kitchen for Sailors Grave Brewing.

Currently we are slowly traveling from Sydney to Brisbane camping along the way. We would love to meet fellow work awayers to share a part of our trip with. We are also looking for new work away opportunities, especially around Byron bay.

We are a hardworking couple, that is no stranger to manual labour and working long hours. We both worked lots of different jobs and are up for trying anything.

About Maks:

I have extensive experience with working with tourists, as I've worked 8 seasons at the Slovenian coast. There I've done pretty much everything that has to do with the beach; from picking up trash and general maintenance to working at watersports and being a lifeguard.

During the student years I worked in a local bistro where I served, prepared food and grilled burgers and hot dogs at the events.

I started my career three years ago, when I got employed by the manufacturing company that produces water pumps. I worked there as a printed circuit board designer.

My family owns a small olive tree farm, where I've done loads of manual labour and got used to working with small machinery.

About Brigita:

My skills are reflected in deeds where precision is required in fine work with hands and under various conditions. I gained the ability to work with people in many stages of life and am enjoying participating in a team or alone - that's what I gained in my last five years working as a nurse in a university clinic of pulmonary diseases.

In my student years I worked in a local bed & breakfast as a maid and participated in the preparation and serving of breakfast, because even then I wanted to have some contact with tourists and get an insight of something fresh and different that I was used to. I also worked as a warehouse worker and a cleaner, so there is no work I wouldn't do.

I have a small garden where I grow all kinds of vegetables and even some fruits. I also maintain a colorful flower bed for my neighbouring bees.
