Hello!!! My name is Maira and I'm from Brazil.
I was working as an executive assistant for over 6 years in an Austrian company in Brazil but I had a lot of work and I didn't have time for myself, time to do what I like the most, which is travelling, so I decided to quit my job in 2020 to travel as a volunteer around the world but right after, the whole world got in quarantine :(

I love to learn new languages, so besides Portuguese, I speak English, Japanese, Spanish, I know basic French (want to keep studying it) and I'm self teaching Korean. I'd also like to meet new people and learn different cultures :)
I think we have to live to be happy and acquire knowledge, that's why I think this volunteer / work exchange program will be the best for me :D

My purpose in this volunteer program besides helping the hosts, is to exchange culture, try different foods and practice English, Spanish and learn French. I'd be really happy if during my stay I could get the skills to communicate very well mainly in French and Spanish.

I'm passionate about kids, beaches and animals, specially dogs and I'm keen to live a healthy lifestyle abroad. I'm into live new adventures!!!!

To tell a little about my experiences, I've worked as an executive assistant for over 6 years in an Austrian company in Brazil and before that I also worked as bilingual receptionist, tour guide, waitress and also worked in a manufacture making parts of digital cameras for Sony.

For my first workaway job I worked in a B&B in France and helped with the cleaning and organization of the rooms and other small tasks when they needed some help :)

I have a bachelor's degree in International Relations and I'm graduated in Business Management.
I'm qualified as a masseuse.

I also have experience in babysitting as I helped my sister with my nephew since he was born and with my niece, who is a newborn baby.

I love dogs and have a dog named Shakira, she is my little princess for over 11 years and sometimes I also take care of my sisters dog.

Besides Portuguese, as I lived in Japan for almost 8 years, I can speak Japanese, and I also speak English, intermediate Spanish, basic French and I'm self teaching korean.

I'm a hands-on person, and I'd love to learn new things! I'm very engaging in whatever I do ^^
