Hey everyone
I'm Louise from Germany and I'm super excited to come volunteer with you!
In the past, volunteering has always brought me a lot of joy. It is such a nice way to work towards something you believe in, together with others who share similar goals. And I just love traveling, especially backpacking or going on roadtrips is so much fun. So combining these two aspects sounds like a dream to me. The thought of traveling, but not just jetting from one place to another, but actually staying and experiencing for a while is fascinating to me. So ready to travel around, see new places, meet new people, taste new food, and learn new languages!

Maybe a bit more about me: I'm a passionate, energetic, opinionated 23 year old woman from Berlin, Germany. I just finished my bachelor's degree in Politics, Psychology, Law and Economics at the University of Amsterdam, and am now taking a gap year before I plan to do a masters. I love cooking (and eating), I enjoy music (amateur guitar player here), art (making art myself just as much as seeing other people's art!), photography, and reading. I'm a huge language nerd. I love animals. And I really really enjoy traveling.

Skills

I speak quite some languages fluently:
- German
- English
- French
- Spanish
- Dutch (only semi-fluently to be fair)

I also have a driver's license.

Experience:
I have experience volunteering for a food bank and an animal shelter. So I have some expertise working around foodstuff, and working with animals (especially dogs), and I generally don't mind getting my hands dirty.
Also, I have been working as a private tutor for 4 years now, so I have experience in working with kids and teenagers, and in teaching more generally. I have been giving classes in German, French, and English, but willing to expand to the best of my abilities :)
I have also had classes in a tourism-focused high school, so I have quite some knowledge about specifically ecotourism, but also tourism and hospitality more generally. I have also hands-on experience working in hospitality, as I worked in a café for about a year.

In general, I am really hands on and don’t mind (actually love) to get my hands dirty and try new things to expand my skills ;)

Was noch ...

I'm a quite active person and hope to be able to spend my free time getting to know the area a bit. If there are possibilities to get around and see the towns and nature surrounding the place i'm staying at, i'd be super happy. I enjoy walks and hikes, cycling, or taking a scooter in order to get around.
