Ciao! I am Lisa, 34 years old and currently traveling through Italia. I left Germany in February and now I am traveling without a plan, so I am just going day by day and stay spontaneous about the near future!
For now I chose Italy, because I love the Italian language and was able to appreciate the more relaxed way of living and approaching life throughout my travels - especially in the south. I feel like it's more natural to "just exist" in Italy than for example in Germany and I want to lean into this experience.

Choosing kindness always has the highest priority for me and I try to live with kindness as my guide in as many areas as possible - this year marks my ten year anniversary of being vegan, I buy pretty much everything second hand and I try to make environmentally and socially conscious choices in my day to day life.
I love nature in all it's bigger and smaller forms and understand it deeply as Mother earth that we share with all living beings. Watching any kind of animal just existing and following it's inner plan fills me with connection, calmness, joy and awe. I love gardening and being in tune with natural cycles, which is why I want to focus on working in nature, on farms and in social settings.

Feeling my body helps me stay balanced. I love doing Yoga, meditation, breathing exercises or a swim in cold water. Being in nature definitely helps me to focus on such practices. I also like feeling and using my body's strength like with carrying and building things.
I express myself in many ways of creating, like painting, dancing, taking photos (analogico) and writing.

I am highly empathetic, sensitive, attentive towards my and other peoples emotions and can communicate them well. It took a lot of hard work to be this kind and understanding, so I struggle with modern society's tendency to choose comfort over growth and its ways of injustice and rewarding selfish behavior as well as the current political situation all over the world. I am not very fond of capitalism and really wished we would live in more natural and kind ways.

So now I am trying to find places that feel safe and kind and calm, where I can be part of healing community and healthy relationships. Open communication makes such situations a lot easier and creates space for connection, humor and healing - which is something I am searching for. I want growth, despite all its discomfort. The upside of all this is that I am very understanding and patient with the wounds, patterns and growth of others as well 😌

    Mehr Infos zu meinen Sprachinteressen
German is my native language. I have been writing poems and journaling for all my life and studied Educational Science at University, so I am able to use the German language in a very efficient and elaborate way, while also maintaining the aesthetic of a natural flow of words. In my career as a social worker I worked with children, teenagers and refugees, so I am able to break down languages into their most basic aspects and my empathy allows me to adapt my use of language and teaching to the level of my student or counterpart. I also use my hands a lot when speaking to express myself more accurately. Learning English is mandatory in German schools. I always felt a connection to the English language, since it provided me with a much bigger variety of music, information, inspiration and recipes, so I have been active in the "american and english internet" and read english books for 15 years now. It's not my mother language and I haven't lived in an english country yet, but I am able to express complex concepts and feelings and usually think in english as well - although nothing beats the german language when it comes to specific words for specific emotions. In all languages I tend to avoid technical terms and use simpler explanations and examples to maintain understanding and connection in a conversation. I learned Latin in school for 5 years. I never had any practical use for it and like every child I hated it (so much learning), but with being in Italy I finally feel a connection to it - I used to translate texts about the Colosseo, Foro Romano and the Vesuvio and completely forgot about it until I was standing in front of these places! It also feels quite lovely to be able to read and kind of understand old Latin inscriptions. I also had french for about two years in school, but I never used it, so I can't speak french. I do have a feeling for the language and I'd like to deepen this knowledge at some point. I really want to learn Italian and since it feels like it's in between Latin and French, I have a good starting point and can learn it a bit faster. I would like to be with someone who can teach me Italian in daily situations, so it becomes more natural for me. I can offer German and English in exchange :)

It's difficult for me to describe what I can "offer", since it goes against my still deeply rooted conviction that I should not take up any space for existing. From the feedback I get from people I know (theoretically) that I enrich other peoples lives even in the shortest of connections, but some belief systems are hard to crack. I can say what I'm good at and I want to learn to share these things with other people with love and gratitude instead of fear or shame. I want to learn and allow myself to feel as part of a community.

I am physically fit and strong. At home I used to build everything myself and can handle most tools and build and upcycle furniture. I can paint walls, I love tidying, cleaning and organizing messy places and I have basic knowledge of crafts like sewing, pottery, stitching and woodwork. I also have a very good sense for space, aesthetic and decoration.

I am quite smart and can think pretty much everything through to the end while taking most possible aspects into account. Once I gathered all the information for a deep understanding, I can handle it efficiently and explain it well to others. I am particularly good at coming up with solutions and clear systems, because the box I think in is very very big - one of the perks of having ADHD! I am always very aware of my surroundings and can easily recognize when help is needed.

I am a social worker at heart and have been in this job for the past ten years - I worked with children, teenagers, families and refugees. This work path in combination with my mental structures and a deep knowledge of Psychology enables me to find simple solutions even in the messiest depths of human interactions and troubles.
This also makes me a very good teacher, since I am able to break down complex concepts into their essential parts. Being very empathetic and attentive enables me to meet people where they currently are - this can be breaking down language into simple words and gestures, but also helping others with expressing their inner world.

I also worked as a waitress many times and in different cities and restaurants. This work taught me self management, patience and resilience. I also learned that I like helping people to find what they want and like, so I always had happy customers. Although I don't particularly like small talk and superficial conversations, I am quite good at connecting with people quickly. I am authentically friendly and have an honest desire to do a good job. I like structure, which helps me create efficient workflows.

I can cook well and spontaneously with what is in the house. Going vegan was a huge act of self care for me and made me fall in love with cooking - I tried so many new things and found out what I like and what feels good in my body. Looking at my go-to dishes my favorite cuisine is definitely south and east asian - I love ramen, fried rice and pasta dishes, but also curries and pad thai (since I was in Thailand). I also veganized some recipes that I know from home like scrambled eggs or fried pasta with eggs (which is probably as german as my cooking gets).
I also love breakfasts of all sorts and often make sandwiches with fried veggies and tofu or Chickpea Omelette (very similar to the Cecina in Pisa!). For brunch or dinner I often make some sort of savory or sweet porridge, chia pudding or something like that. As you can see my diet is a little bit "vegan recipes on Pinterest" inspired 😅
Often times I feel insecure about sharing food I cooked, since it's obviously a question of taste, culture and what you're used to - and unfortunately most people are not used to "the vegan diet". I would also like to learn more Italian dishes! :)

I do have a driving license, but I have not been driving for many years now. I think I would be able to drive in rural areas, but in cities it is quite stressful for me, because I have difficulties managing all the aspects I have to focus on (at least in german traffic). I love riding a bike and usually do all my errands by bike :)
