Beschreibung

Hi! My name is Lincoln/Linc.

I am a teacher from/escaping the US. I value humility, kindness, living-with-less, empathy, positivity, honesty, sustainability, diversity, hard work/play, helping others and being helped, nature, mental health, communication and understanding. I enjoy learning, working outside, eating healthy, connecting with people, community, swimming, hiking, peace and quiet, plants, yoga…

As far as my issues go: I am idealistic and extra sensitive to some environmental factors... such as natural surroundings and peaceful sleep. I can also overthink things and get overwhelmed sometimes. I care a ton (too much?) and am always conscious of how I can improve (sometimes struggle with confidence and anxiety). When I've had issues with previous volunteer situations, these are the things that have come up. Yet I'm actually pretty strong, resilient, and adaptable in the long-term :-)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have a pretty well-rounded skill set! I grew up on a farm and also worked on an organic veggie farm. I have a lot of building experience, including completely remodeling my own house. I worked in renewable energy and became a NABCEP-certified Solar PV Installer. I have taught adults, high school, and middle school and am now a certified K-6 elementary Teacher in the state of Hawai’i. More recently I have gained permaculture experience and am interested in ecological restoration.
