Hi, I'm Lexy! I have always wanted to visit New Zealand and experience the local culture as well as see the incredible scenery. Very excited for the opportunity to travel with my sister as well :)

Beschreibung

Hi! My name is Lexy and I had my first solo travel experience when I moved to Barcelona, Spain for 6 months for a marketing internship in 2021/22. I had always been interested in travel and this experience solidified my obsession for it and shaped my worldview. Since then I have traveled around other parts of Europe as well as spent 6 weeks in Peru for an immersive volunteer biology program. The biggest things that bring me happiness are continuously making myself uncomfortable in order to grow, and keeping my mind open to new connections, perspectives, and ways of life. In my opinion, travel is one of the very best ways to accomplish this.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I believe I have developed a wide variety of skills from life, school, and the various jobs I've worked that could be helpful in many settings. For my highest education I have a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Spanish. Throughout college I worked as a tutor/study facilitator on campus, and an intern at an accounting firm. Both of these jobs required me to be highly organized and able to adapt to different situations and personalities. I also have 2 years of customer service experience in both restaurant/bar and concierge settings. When I lived in Barcelona I did social media marketing and planned student engagement activities around the city, as well as practiced Spanish with my host family. In addition, I grew up on a family farm with cattle, horses, dogs, and cats, and am very comfortable and experienced with farming and gardening :) I've spent plenty of time assisting with home and farm construction/renovation/repair projects so I consider myself pretty handy and creative and love spending time outdoors.

I have been described as a very friendly and open-minded person in general and, to me, that is one of the highest compliments I have received. I love a variety of music, reading, language exchange, nature, art, adventure and I love hearing about other people's interests in these subjects as well. I am always open to new experiences and ESPECIALLY trying new foods.
