hi there!
My name is Lauren and I am a vibrant, free spirited, yet responsible and driven individual who is curious about the world and more importantly connecting with the people within it. I studied psychology and philosophy in university in New York, and hope to become a social worker in an international setting one day! Ive worked as a wilderness therapy guide, rock climbing guide, yoga instructor, and have volunteered with refugees in Egypt, helped manage a non profit farm.

Currently, I am a masters student of applied ecology, living in Portugal. I have travelled to the UK, Europe, Mexico, Canada, Lebanon, Guatemala, among some. I am passionate about people and love to learn about cultures.I love to teach, and meet people from around the world! I try to live as simply as possible, appreciating the small nuances of life and simple things, along with living as impact free as possible. I speak Spanish, and a bit of Arabic, Portuguese, and Italian and am open to learning other languages!

Currently I’m looking for opportunities to work and learn on a farm, or teach yoga.

I have lots of experience with teaching in many different settings (I have taught classes from agriculture to english), I have natural leadership skills, research, critical thinking, independence, time management. I have extensive knowledge in small scale farming, CSA, homesteading, carpentry, I love animals, and vocational therapy. I am an artist so naturally I aspire to create, among many things.
