Beschreibung

Hi! We're a danish couple, Kirsten and Frederik, looking to learn new things and to connect with local people on our up-coming travel. We're going to Georgia in mid-February, then traveling through Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria and finishing off in Romania.

Kirsten: I have traveled before, back in 2017-2018, where I traveled in Australia and used Workaway regularly to find exciting places to work. To give a few examples; I worked at a large horse farm for a while where I worked in the stables and helped out with feeding, fetching the horses and giving the foals medication. I also worked at a small permaculture farm where I milked the goats, fed the chicks and harvested and packed vegetables. In early 2017 I lived in France for 4 months where I worked as a waitress in Disneyland. My interest for living things grew when I traveled in Australia which eventually led to where I am now; about to get my bachelor degree in biology.

Frederik: I haven't been traveling like this before, so this will be my first longer trip. I'm a guitarist and composer. I have spent the last three years on my bachelors degree from the Danish National Academy of Music and now it's time to get out of the rehearsal rooms and see what eastern europe has to offer. Besides being a musician I have been working as a freelance sound engineer and visuals artist. I have also been working as a concert and festival organizer for a jazzfestival in Denmark. While I studied I lived in a small garden house, where I started to grow my own vegetables and I would love to get my hands dirty again!

We have been together for a year and are excited to go travel together and to see other parts of the world. With us both having finished or being about to finish our degree, we are more than ready to see something new besides sheet music and biology books.
We are both fond of nature, bicycle rides, laughing and creating. We can't wait to make lasting memories with the people we meet through workaway! :)

We can do a bit of everything, gardening, general maintenance, cooking, organizing and cleaning. We're willing to work hard and VERY eager to learn new skills such as animal care, farming, building or whatever it might be.
