Hello, I'm Johanna! I'm 23 years old and live in Cologne. I'm currently in a bit of a transitional phase in my life and trying to figure out which direction I want to go in. I want to learn new skills, meet new people, and just get away for a while to do something that allows me to fulfill my potential. That's why I'm planning to stay somewhere in the warmer parts of Europe from October to December, and since I've had very good experiences with Workaway, I would like to work for several hosts during this time.

I love being outdoors, exploring my surroundings, just being there and reading. I also spend a lot of time with my favorite people, listening to music, making music, cooking, chatting for hours, or playing games. In general, I also love meeting new people, gaining new perspectives on life, and sharing experiences. I would describe myself as curious, open-minded, and sensitive.

Now to what I am looking for in terms of work and what qualities I have that might be helpful.
I am looking for hosts who are interested in sustainability and who are open to new perspectives and ideas. I would love to spend my time working with animals, gardening, or on sustainable/creative projects. Also, since I love to have some kind of community feeling surrounding me, I would love to stay with hosts who accomodate several Workawayers at a time.
What I can contribute to you, is cooking many different vegan meals, basic gardening skills (but I would like to learn a lot more), crafting and painting and I am quite knowledgeable about sustainable lifestyles and am cooperative and flexible.

If I sound like someone, you see yourself spending time with for some time ( I probably want to stay at one host for around a month), I would love to hear from you! :)

I‘ve never really tried teaching German or English, which are the languages I am fluent in, but am very open to try. On the other hand, I am interested in learning French, Spanish or Portuguese a bit. Also I have lived in Finland for 10 months and was learning Finnish,but I sadly nearly forgot everything by time and I had noone to speak it with and would love to freshen it up :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I don't have a specific area of expertise, but rather a wide range of interests and skills. I enjoy crafting and designing, and I have a creative outlook on things and life in general. I also have a lot of experience in cooking nutritious, mostly plant-based meals and would love to learn how to grow my own food and I don't mind getting my hands and clothes dirty. I also enjoy spending time with animals, especially dogs, and am happy to take on any tasks related to their care. My strengths also lie in socializing and working in a team, as I am very sensitive to my surroundings and the people that I interact with.
My experience with Workaway includes painting clay walls and furniture with lime paint, cooking vegan meals, and various tasks at a dog shelter.
