Hi! We are currently driving the Pan-American highway from Alaska to Argentina accompanied by our German Shepherd named Dakota. We absolutely love to travel and experience new cultures. The ability to travel through Latin America by car, at our
own pace, has been incredible!

Joe:

— Marketing and Social Media: 5 years operating an agency focused on digital marketing, including social media management, content creation, email marketing, graphic design, and website design. Ability to promote business, projects, and events across all digital channels.

— Photography/Videography: 10 years experienced photographer, 3 years experience drone videography. Traveling with Canon film camera and DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone.

— Travel: Visited 20+ countries, including 1 year and 15,000 miles driven on the Pan-American highway wild camping 50% of nights

— Languages: Bilingual English/Spanish (Mother is a native speaker from Mexico)

— Eagle Scout: skilled in outdoor survival, leadership, and first aid — applicable to hands-on projects and role responsibilities

— Hospitality: 3 years experience bussing tables at a high end Italian restaurant in the USA

— Handyman skills: Heavily modified my vehicle for overland travel including DIY water system, DIY woodworking storage system, DIY solar panel installation, preventative maintenance on Toyota truck. Capable to assist in general contracting work with basic training and oversight.

— DJ and Event Planning: 3 years experience DJing parties and local events. Ability to design and curate events. Ability to DJ events or parties. Traveling with DJ equipment.


Elizabeth:

— Certified Yoga Instructor offering Vinyasa and Hatha style classes with breathwork and guided meditation. Elizabeth has taught at multiple resorts in Nicaragua.

— Former Civil and Environmental Engineer with construction, conservation, and design experience. Degree from North Carolina State University in Environmental Engineering which focuses on Water and Wastewater management.

— Marketing and Social Media: Creating assets to advertise yoga and wellness workshops as well as resort activity flyers for guests, daily Instagram content, and more!

— Customer Service: Vending experience at music festivals selling Cacao and other artisan products.

— Hospitality: 4 years camp counselor experience leading outdoor activities for kids and teenagers. Experience with rope courses.

— Experience with volunteer projects related to gardening, farming, and trailbuilding.

Was noch ...

Our dog Dakota is an exceptionally well behaved and well trained 7 year-old German Shepherd. She does not pee or poop indoors. She does not chew anything besides sticks and dog toys. She gets along with all dogs, with the exception of large alpha females if not properly introduced.

We both enjoy yoga, meditation, camping, hiking, and general adventure travel. What else? We love to cook delicious family meals and connect with good people.

We are looking forward to traveling slower by making extended stays with Workaway hosts to do good work in order to connect deeper to the land and countries we are driving through.
