Hello! I am Jonathan and I am a 26 year old American looking to explore Peruvian agriculture, farming, cooking, traditions, language, textiles, and learning from everyone I meet along the way! I am currently working for a plant based meat startup as a scientist, and food is a main motivator for me. I worked on a hydroponics spinach farm, adding nutrients to the water, and conducting research to improve shelf life of the spinach. I love food- growing food, processing food, cooking food, sharing food, and of course, eating food!! I studied materials engineering so I am also interested in textiles, scaffolding, and many other engineering things. I am a life long runner, that is how I explore, and it is easy to see if I put good healthy food in, I can run better and I feel happier. I am intermediate conversational with Spanish, and definitely would love to learn more!

Was könntest du arbeiten?
I am a very good at both manual labor and critical thinking- I am a scientist so I can follow protocols very well, and I am very good at cleaning and keeping tidy. I have worked on a hydroponic spinach farm, providing nutrients to spinach, pea shoots, arugula, and curtsy lettuce. I have also created two mushroom soil garden beds for a volunteer center in new jersey, and I worked on a horse farm maintaining lawns. I am strong and can complete tasks that require strength. I am an endurance runner and so if running is needed I can complete it easily, but in general I have a lot of endurance. I am crafty and can engineer solutions pretty well- like creating scaffolds, tying knots, and have strong intuition. I can grow vegetables and fruits pretty well, and I can also cook a variety of different foods- Indian, Italian, French, greek. I love to try new things and am a fast learner!

I teach little kids how to bike ride which is a lot of fun. I also love to play settlers of catan, and read occasionally.
