Hi, I'm Jesse! I am from a small mountain town in Colorado and have always had a strong passion for the environment. Currently, I am a recent college graduate looking for engaging volunteer work where I can better myself and the community. I have a strong desire to experience a new culture and gain a better understanding of their values, all while gaining more experience with organic farming.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am committed to excellence and giving my best effort. I am reliable, a team player and self-starter. Most of all I am a people person who loves making strong connections with new people. My experience consists in trail building, landscaping and construction. First, I worked as a landscaper for Bear Mountain Projects assisting with residential houses in Boulder, Colorado. My duties included weeding, trimming, planting, building spaces for homeowners to start their personal gardens, and some cultivation of flowers. For two summers I also gained experience working for the Boulder County Youth Corps building trekking/mountain biking trails in the mountains surrounding Boulder. We started from scratch and did anything and everything (leveled out ditches, built retaining wall, removed giant rocks/trees, ect.) to create single-track trails along the mountainside. With the Corps I also helped build gravel and asphalt roads on a private farmers land to allow easier access between different areas of their ranch. I also worked for Melton Design Build helping to remodel both residential and commercial properties. I gained experience using common construction tools, and assisting with D.I.Y. building projects. Lastly I’d like to mention I worked as a chef for 6 months at Italian restaurant Barchetta located in Boulder. I am more than happy to help with any cooking or cleaning as well!

I have a deep passion for the outdoors. My favorite hobbies include backpacking, fishing, skiing, kayaking and white water rafting, scuba-diving, rock climbing, and anything else that involves the wilderness. I also love to play chess but I’m definitely a beginner! Some of my other favorite things include Steven King's books, watching Colorado’s sports teams (Sko Avalanche!), movies above 70% on Rotten Tomatoes, and most importantly: burritos.
