Hi :)

My name is Jane, I'm 30 and Irish. I am hardworking, friendly and open-minded.

I have experience with cleaning, organising, pet sitting, managing volunteers, project management, organising events, marketing, social media, basic video editing, painting, sanding, varnishing, weeding, arts & crafts, but also happy to help out in a variety of ways and learn new skills!

I grew up in Dublin but have lived in the Netherlands, Wales, the US and France. My background is in marketing and project management but in recent years I have started to volunteer at many different places, in many different capacities, as I had had enough of sitting at a desk every day and wanted to spend time travelling and helping people (and animals)!

I wasn't a very adventurous person growing up but when I turned 26, I started to really push myself by taking more risks and being more out-going. This started when my dad got offered a place on a charity tall ship voyage to raise money for Spinal Injuries Ireland. The ship is accessible and can accommodate people in wheelchairs, as well as those with vision and hearing impairments. I had never sailed before and only went to help out my dad, who was a passionate sailor before his spinal injury. But I ended up loving it and have spent a lot of time volunteering with them, both doing voyages and during maintenance periods.

I really want to continue to meet new people from different walks of life, try new things and learn new skills. I'm very easy-going and am willing to give anything a try.

I have an MA in Literature and Culture, with a specialisation in Gender, Sexuality and Culture, and I am very passionate about equality within society, regardless of gender, sexuality, race, religion etc. I love animals, especially dogs! Embracing ethical, sustainable and environmentally conscious ways of living is also very important to me.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

- I have worked in marketing for 8 years. I have great project management skills, as well as experience with event planning, social media and logistics. I was responsible for the entire marketing department for 4 years.
- I am creative, and enjoy making things. I love crafting and I have basic photography and video editing skills. I also enjoy scrapbooking, embroidery, crocheting and pottery.
- I LOVE organising things, and actually enjoy cleaning!
- I love animals and have looked after dogs my entire life.
- I'm good at working as part of a team, but am perfectly happy being left on my own as well.
- I have experience fundraising, both online (using gofundme) and in person (money collection) for Spinal injuries Ireland and the Irish Blue Cross.
