Hello there! I am a 26 years old college student currently living in Bologna, Northern Italy. I'm studying Communication Sciences (with a particular interest for Sociology).
I love reading books (if you have any boring essay concerning history and sociology in your house, be sure I will ask you if I could borrow it and give it a read), writing what goes through my mind, meditating and taking pictures with my beloved Fujifilm X-T30 (as a reeeally amateur street photographer).
Before enrolling in college, I worked full-time for a couple years, and after that experience I have also worked seasonal jobs during summer in beach resorts in Tuscany, in customer service (taking reservations, registering payments etc.) and ordinary maintenance.
I love traveling and meeting new people, for that reason I have visited many countries throughout Europe (Spain, Germany; Austria, Belgium, France, Holland, Switzerland, Czech Republic...I may have forgot something) and I've been in the US three times (Florida, New York and New Jersey and California).
I'd love to get to know other human beings, everyone with their own interests and I'm really willing to spend time in the nature, working together, talking and sharing life stories and knowledge.
I would also love to learn new skills (especially gardening and farming, but everything is a plus!) and surround myself with people who are willing to teach me what they know. Their words would find my ears well open and my gratitude!

Was könntest du arbeiten?
- Since I have always worked in contact with people in different contexts, especially tourists, I developed good interaction skills (and plenty of patience as well);
- I have pretty good manual skills, given the fact that I used to help maintaining the beach facilities where I used to work (bar and resort);
- I have very basic gardening skills, which I would LOVE to improve, since I'm dreaming of buying and cultivating some land in the future, possibly as part of a "bigger frame" like an agricultural community;
- I've been playing electric guitar for some years (on and off), mainly Blues and Blues Rock;
- I'm an amateur street photographer

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Join a conscious community ...)

There are places that we think could only exist in novels, places where you can meet people whose biographies are so dense that make you think they may be reminiscences from previous lives.
Places where you feel free to be yourself, where you can get rid of those superfluous structures we spend so much time building and maintaining in our everyday… read more lives.
This is one of them.

I spent nearly two months in this family, two months that passed so quickly and yet so meaningfully. While I was there, a day passed in the blink of an eye still leaving more sensations and thoughts than whole weeks in my “usual environment”.
There are so many things to say that I don’t really know where to begin.
This was my first Workaway experience, and when I left Italy for Tenerife I didn’t really know what to expect from myself. I had never travelled on my own before and I had always been the “typical tourist”: hotels, restaurants, museums etc.
Here, I discovered a new world, I found out that I could feel free and at peace with myself…something new for me.
People who want to listen to you without any other interest than making you feel loved and understood are really hard to find. Here, every single sister and brother made me feel like that.
Family expresses gratitude for being ourselves, for showing our inner self, our fear, our desires, our weaknesses. This is something that’s nearly counterintuitive for someone with a westerner background: in our everyday lives, we suffocate our feelings, we are afraid of the way other people may react.
Here, you can’t help but being yourself. Not because it’s compulsory, (how could it be so?), but because being ourselves feels like the most natural of things…and so it should be!
Morning yoga on the rooftop, working in the garden and receiving help without even the need to ask for it, cooking and eating delicious meals together, going to charcos and visiting villages…that’s community life. That’s family life.
A catalyst for change which allows you to deconstruct your personality while feeling embraced and safe. Changing is hard, but it can be “light” if you surround yourself with true and disinterested love.
Most of all, everybody here gave me hope, showing me that another life is possible.
It’s just a metter of choices. It’s always a matter of choices.
The more radical, the better.
If you are willing to really dive into yourself and to question the human you are, you were and/or you want to become, while feeling safe doing so, this is the place.
