I would like to ask you if there is any chance you are still looking for volunteer/workawayer at your place? I have just joined WorkAway.Info but I am member of many other websites like woofing.org, hospitalityclub.net and Couchsurfing.org where I am active member.
In short:
I have been to the island 7 months now. I stay in the San Roque Valley, near Telde.
Most of the time I work. I volunteer at my host place and in addition I am helping few vecinos.
I work with wood a lot, building chicken houses and kennels.
But last 3 months I work in the cave. I am being paid here. We turn in into an apartment for one rich person. I learn a lot.

I like to travel and I want to see the islands so I wish to move. If you have any plans for work let me know. Accommodation or food... we can find a solution for everything. I have got motorbike. I will live in my friend's camper van in the future but I want to safe money for my own van.

Longer story:
I have some previous volunteering experience in the past:
I volunteered at many short term, random places like English classes or some building projects (China/Thailand/Singapore) and few long term positions as well.
The longest project I volunteered was as a English teacher assistant in Georgia with “Teach and Learn with Georgia” under the Georgian Ministry of Education and Science. That was 11 months project based in city of Rustavi and small village near Zugdidi.
I have also experience in volunteering at veg/fruit farms. I was Woofing for 2 months in Australia at the organic vegetables farm near Brisbane. It was amazed how much organic food can 3 people (the owner, another woofer and me) produce! We were selling to vegetables every weekend at local market.
I also have experience in building wooden houses. I am helping my brother in law in his company which repair roofs, wooden walls, makes rooms bigger, builds additional garages and finishes interior of the houses. I am electrician (5 years technical school) but with basic knowledge what can be beneficial to you. I am not afraid of physical work.
You might ask: How did you end up in Asia and Australia?
After first year of university I decided to move to Scotland where my cousin used to live.
I was one of the people who wanted to discover new country, language and culture. I was baking oat biscuits 2 years in Edinburgh and I enrolled at one of the local collages to improve my English and learn something. I was very lucky with the teachers at the school. While studding/working in Scotland I read book by Kinga & Chopin. Title Led by Destiny. They hitchhiked around the World in 5 years and, as you can guess, I decided to try it too.
I set off one day and ended up in Tasmania 2 years later (to make the story short )

When I came back home I decided that so many people helped me on the hitchhiking trip to Australia that I wish to give back something and that’s how I ended up in Georgia as a English teacher assistant.
Last three years, as a professional I have been working in the transport, logistics and ocean shipping departments (driver/warehouse/planning-logistic employee). I worked with people from all over the word via email and phone most of the time.
Now I decided to change my life a little bit.
I have chosen The Canary Islands because of the weather, well organized islands with people from all around the world, hospitable natives people and relatively short distance from Poland. I am sure there is many positive aspects of live in the Canary Island I don’t know about yet. I can’t wait to check out the food. I plan to stay on The Islands longer, maybe start a business in transport.
Whatever it was in my life: traveling/volunteering or working in shipping, I enjoyed discovering new cultures, meeting and people as well as solving problems and obstacles that would come in my way. I have had numerous opportunities to experience a whole range of challenges and proved to be a reliable person. Being open minded, flexible and goal orientated has always come of great help and was, from my own experience, the key factor of further success.
I am quite an ordinary person with extraordinary enthusiasm who knows how to make most of an opportunity, and in return can repay with hard work and dedication.
I know I would be very good candidate for position of a Workawayer and I would be happy to supply you with further details. I can provide signed references from places I had opportunity to work and few educational certificates from school I attended.
