Hi!
My name is Barbora, I am an travelling artist, storyteller, photographer, filmmaker, you name it! And I am here looking to connect with people, communities, and cultural projects across Southeastern Europe between August- late October.
I'll be travelling by car and working on my lifelong archival project called “Dying Songs” — documenting disappearing villages, including songs, dances, ceremonies (weddings, funerals, seasonal celebrations), and everyday cultural knowledge that’s slowly vanishing due to
urbanisation.

I’m looking to connect with:

- Anyone who can link me to such communities
- Local cultural festivals, NGOs, museums, or heritage projects
- Families or individuals open to hosting me (even just for a night!) in exchange of volunteering/my help provided
- Opportunities to volunteer, exchange, or support in any creative or practical way
I have experience in festival work, gardening, cooking, cleaning, event coordination, marketing, video/photography, and I love connecting through language, food, and art.
This is a grassroots, self-funded journey — no commercial goal, just deep cultural respect and curiosity. Therefore I am seeking ways to spend as little money as possible while travelling.

Indeed I love leaving places in better state that I found them.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I’m a hands-on, creative person with a wide range of practical and artistic skills developed through both professional experience and life on the road.

I have a background in documentary filmmaking, photography, printmaking, and cultural research. I’m currently working on a long-term project documenting disappearing rural traditions, so I’m always observing, listening, and learning from people and places with care and curiosity.

Along the way, I’ve picked up a variety of skills that I’m happy to share or exchange, including:

- Filmmaking & photography – capturing moments, interviews, traditional practices, music, and ceremonies with sensitivity and respect
- Art & creativity – I work with my hands: sculpting, printmaking, painting, and crafting with natural or recycled materials
- Pet care – especially with dogs, but I’m open and eager to learn how to care for horses or farm animals
- Driving & car maintenance – I’ll be travelling by car and am comfortable driving long distances or helping with transport tasks
- Cooking & cleaning – I love preparing food and helping with domestic routines
- Gardening – happy to get my hands dirty and help out with planting, weeding, or general outdoor upkeep
- Marketing & content creation – I have a diploma in marketing and can assist with social media, photography, basic design, or writing
- Languages – I speak English and Lithuanian fluently and can understand a bit of Spanish also willing to learn Greek, Italian and Arabic!

I’m adaptable, hard working, independent, and genuinely love connecting through music, language, food, and shared work. Whether it’s lending a hand in the garden, helping out at a local event, documenting your community, or just sharing stories — I’m grateful for any opportunity to contribute meaningfully.
