Beschreibung

Hello! I am a 24 year old medical student looking to travel from September until December before I return to work in January of 2024. I previously did Workaway in Alaska and Idaho when I was 21 years old and had an amazing experience working with sled dogs and renovating a bed & breakfast. I am well acquainted with Europe as I studied in Scotland for 2 years before medical school.

I love everything that has to do with nature and am an distance runner and hiker. I am a former physical education teacher and love working with children. I have experience with gardening and yard work, but I am eager to learn anything from farm work to carpentry to animal care. Medical school has made me a quick learner, so I am willing and happy to learn new skills, especially hands-on work!

In my time during a Workaway, I hope that I am able to spend time outside, explore the local area, and try new foods. I am also eager practice language exchange (German, Swedish). Again, I am available from September to December 2023.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have completed my first year of medical school and have developed great interpersonal skills and discipline as well as a passion for social justice. I've worked in clinics where I've had to get up close and personal with patients so I am not afraid of new challenges or to get my hands dirty!

I've done 2 previous Workaway's. First I spent time renovating a bed and breakfast where I learned basic carpentry, so I am familiar with power tools and woodworking, although it is not my specialty. During my second Workaway, I worked with sled dogs, cleaning their pens as well as feeding and bathing, so I am good with animals.

I spent a year as a physical education teacher (ages 5-12) so I love working with children :)
