Hi, I'm Hannah, 27, I'm a Windsurf/ Wingfoil and Yoga Instructor und am currently just travelling around to work. Right now I am in Greece to improve my greek, I'm half greek/half German, but my greek is not super good yet and I really want to learn it fluently, this is why I'd love to stay a bit longer in greece with a greek family to just keep on learning greek for a little while.
I can help in with farming, kitchen, in of course sports and yoga activities, bit of photography, I also like DIY stuff, arts, music, animals, I'm interested in a lot of different fields and I'd be happy to help. Also I'm good with working with kids, baby sitting or what ever, it's fun and I have experience from my surf lessons as well as just being an older sister. :)
I'm a relaxed, open and friendly person and am always curious about meeting new people with new inspirations.

I'm good at arts and design stuff, like drawing, taking nice photographs, doing designs, photoshop and all that
I grew up on the country side, so I'm a good fire maker for example or chop wood
Would say I can fix easy things, love to work with my hands and would like to learn more about building things, also perma culture.
I got experience in gardening , love to make my hands dirty and work with them.
I'm a good cook
Got a bit experience in teaching easy water sports, like for windsurf beginners, sup courses etc.

some of my hobbies are like I said listening to many different kinds of music, or play a little bit, sports, all different kinds, surfing, boxing, playing football, yoga, climbing- almost everything, to draw, to hike, and I love horses and really really want to start riding again, and improve my riding skills... when I was younger I used to do horseriding for half a year, and then stopped, cause it was too far away and expensive.
I love the ocean and sand, like to windsurf, completely fell in love in surfing, waveriding, and want to improve that and would really like to do the teaching license, but need to practise and improve a lot still.
I like to ride my bicycle, I like cooking or baking, I like to be outside, I like being in the pure nature and I like good interesting conversations.

Vom Workawayer (Hannah) für Host (Join us on the beautiful Wild ...)

Where should I start.

It`s just an amazing place there. I planned to stay for 1 month and ended up staying 2 1/2 months!
Strandhill is a lovely village and the hostel is literally located in the perfect spot, you need 30 sec to walk to the beach, how amazing is that? You have the beach in front of you and the mountain Knocknarea behind you. It's… read more just beautiful.
Across the street is a super nice pub with very good music and pizza and other nice food places, and around the corner is a lovely coffee shop, called shells.
Every sunday there is a super nice market 20 minutes walking distance at the airport, with good quality food, coffee, handmade honey, nice tee, clothes and other stuff.
Another pub called the dunes is also not too far away, I liked this one even more - it's smaller, also always good music and atmosphare, and every monday they have an open mic, wich is always good fun.
You have a lot of live music everywhere and everybody is into music. Young and old.
The work is not too hard, it's always 21 hours per week, and when it really happens that you need to work a little more, cause there's too much to do, you get your hours back.
So you have enaugh time beside work to go for nice walks, go surf, go to sligo (the next bigger city), go with the bus or hitchhike to see other places, play football, read, what ever!;)
The normal work consists of cleaning shifts( making beds and clean) and reception shifts and sometimes other stuff like gardening or paint etc...
You can go in all the surf lessons and once you are good enaugh, they let you go alone.
There is everything to eat in the staff fridge what you need and even more, we cooked loads of super nice meals.
Zuhe the manager, is a funny and cool person and in my opinion really the perfect manager, wich is not an easy job.
It's really and honestly important to him, that everybody is happy, and that it's a nice vibe in the hostel and he cares.
Of course he wants the volunteers to do a proper job, and is checking everything - he is super fair, and when we had a lot to do, he helped us cleaning, even though he had enaugh managing and paper work to do already.
Also with most of the other workawayers it was a really nice crew, and in my whole time there I met amazing and super special people and charakters, who have a big place in my heart now. We had crazy, funny, deep, class experiences together and I'm gratefull to have met them.
I started to really fall in love with surfing there in Irland and now I keep on traveling and want to improve and learn as much as I can about surfing! So thanks, thanks, thanks for showing me!
