My name is Guste, I was born in Lithuania, but moved to Norway when I was 10 years old. I have a bachelor's degree in journalism and I'm currently studying human migration. I love to travel, meet new people and be in nature. And more than anything I love to be around animals!

So far I've done a few workaways, which I've absolutely loved! It's so fun to come to a new place and learn new skills, develop friendships and try a new way of living. I have a positive attitude and I'm not afraid to do something I've never done before. I did my last workaway in November of 2024, but I've missed this way of travel, so I'm planning on doing more workaways this year!

One of my favorite tasks is to take care of animals. I love seeing them happy and comfortable in their surroundings. I've taken care of chickens, dogs, cats, llamas and even parrots. I've also been doing cleaning of bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, communal areas etc. I've also worked with different tasks outside such as gardening, digging, mowing the grass, using the machete to cut down unwanted plants and a bit of permaculture. Also general maintenance like fixing fences, painting walls and benches etc. I've also done a little flower arranging :)

Guste is one of the most outgoing, happy, and friendly people you will ever meet. I learned a lot - from how to care for llamas and peacocks, to finding creative solutions for tasks such as mending a fence or putting up branches in the parrots living space. This is such a great workaway! I stayed at Village Seed for two weeks in October, and absolutely loved it! I really liked being immersed in nature with an outside kitchen and an outdoor shower. This is a great Workaway! I loved it here, and kept extending my stay :) the nature is absolutely beautiful with rivers, trees and mountains. The work is not too difficult, and I really enjoyed learning about permaculture. I also met some wonderful people here. If you get the chance to volunteer here - do it!

I had the most amazing time at the hostel! El Valle is a beautiful place, surrounded by mountains. The staff are super friendly and I had the chance to practice a lot of Spanish with them! I would highly recommend this Workaway :)

I stayed here for almost two weeks at the beginning of December, and I really wish I had stayed longer. It was just enough time to start getting to know all the kids! The staff was really nice and helpful, very friendly :) and the food that Clarissa makes is so good, especially the lentil soup!

vom Host (Reliable, energetic and ...) für Workawayer ()

Guste stayed with us for about half a month which flew by way too quickly! She helped us with the usual cleaning and housekeeping but also with crafts (and learned to sew through that :)) and organizing an impromptu dance party. She got along great with the community.
