Hi!
I'm Florian, travelling around europe, asia and new zealand at the beginning of 2025.
I'm travelling by bus, hitchhiking from a hostel to an other or via Couchsurfing also.

Why workaway? Well, it's to meet new people during my trip, to share great moments (with some music!), learn, share, go on an adventure if you feel like it.
I find that travel is enriched by the encounters you make, the discussions that open you up to new horizons, and the unexpected adventures that sometimes turn out to be life-changing. I like to avoid getting caught up in the classic tourist circuits, and I find that taking the time to meet the locals gives you a whole new appreciation of a city or a country.

Also, I want to discover Workaway to travel differently, take the time to settle in a place, participate in a local project and experience encounters over the long term.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

- Gardening work : I've been helping my mother in looking after her big garden for years, I love beeing outside and spend my day taking care of fruit trees, digging holes, building dry-stone walls, climbing trees to prune them, etc.
- Woodworking: I'm not a pro, but I'm learning bit by bit by making small, simple pieces of furniture, lamps and so on.
- Renovation: I've helped my parents renovate apartments, from laying tiles to running cables to redo the electricity. It's been a few years now, but with a bit of a refresh I'd love to get back into it!
- IT : I'm an IT engineer so if you need a hand on your network, internet or whatever related to IT I can give a hand on it also

Was noch ...

Sailing : I practiced sailing almost every weekend for several years, to prepare for various competitions (regional and national regattas). Since I lived in Brussels...it's was bit more complicate to sail

Music : And...I am a music lover. No I don't play any instrument, but I can dig for hours, searching for my next musical gems. It would be complicate to summarize the variety of music genre I'm used to listen, but here is an overview : DnB, UK garage, psytrance, rock, pop, trip hop, afrobeat, jazz

Travelling : I already had the opportunity to travel a bit during long and short period of time, and I'm always thinking about my next adventure. Finally after 6 years without any long travel adventures, I'll start my next adventure this year. Hitchhike from France to Istanbul, then South East Asia and finally New Zealand. After that...no idea, I just want to enjoy the luxury I have of travelling and having the time to enjoy things, people, places. If the adventure is to continue (and I already have lots of destination in mind), it will, but after NZ it's too early to say what my next step will be!
