Ich bin gerade

Beschreibung

Hey, I am Fabian, a 23 year old student from Germany, currently traveling the Americas with my backpack. I started in Canada in July 2023 and have slowly been working my way down south. Don´t ask untill when I will continue, because I don´t know. I speak german, spanish and english and I am (said to be) a great talker. When traveling I mostly enjoy a healthy mix of checking out the famous must-see places and also getting to know the local people and lifestyle.

I am a social person in the sense that I like getting to know new people and sharing my fun (and maybe not so fun) experiences. At the same time I value my me-time when needed. If you are looking for a travel buddy I might be down, just hit me up!

When signing up for workaway projects I am looking for a home base for a couple of weeks. Being on the go for months can be tiring and it´s nice to have a safe place to arrive to and a more constant environment. I will help with what I can and I am flexible and a quick learner. Give me a chance and you will see for yourself ;)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I studied Molecular Biomedicine but I am not sure if this will come in handy in here... I have experience in hosting seminars, for example for longer projects we had in school and I also gave tutoring lessons for a while (for 7-graders, around 12 years old). In university I volunteered in the student council, mainly to organize trips, partys and the semester welcome days. I know my way around tools enough to do some basic fixing or woodwork and I have no problem with getting my hands dirty. I also think I am a decent cook.

By nature I am a very proactive person and I have no issues with standing in the spotlight or talking in front of people. I can also be quite creative inventing games or organizing a trip/night out. I don´t always need the action though, a quiet evening with interesting conversation is equally as fulfilling. I like being outdoors and really got into hiking and taking on other fun challenges nature presents, therefore I consider myself resilient enough for every job that includes physical activity. There are many more things I'd like to gain experience in, and they are probably the reason I am interested in your project haha.

I speak three languages and I play the piano. Drivers licence. No allergies and no dietary restrictions.

I am new to workaway, so I might not have loads of experience volunteering, but I am ready, motivated, and excited to gain some!
