currently preparing to sail across the pacific*

I am passionate about living an eco-friendly lifestyle and leaving no trace. I enjoy spending time in the ocean, surfing, yoga, sailing, slacklining, climbing, hiking, and spreading love for our earth. What's more fulfilling than being immersed in mother nature?! I live the barefoot lifestyle - I'm not afraid of hardwork and getting my hands and feet dirty :)

With my passion towards the sea, I dream to buy a boat and sail across the world! Hoping to promote ocean conservation by providing educational programs and cleaning plastic waste in our seas whilst reducing my carbon footprint. In the meantime, I am working towards my diving certifications to further immerse myself underwater and to pursue more hands-on projects such as planting coral or participating in marine life research. I recently worked as a sailing instructor and companion for people with disabilities, where I assisted in rigging and fixing the boats, general maintenance, cleaning, assisting our adaptive clients, and sailing them around the marina.

Seven years of surfing and many years of practicing yoga has sparked an inspiration to build my own surf & yoga hostel somewhere and sometime in the future. I'd love to build a home where everyone is welcome to share their art, their talents, their curiousity. My brain is always creating and innovating new ideas whether its reef-safe sunscreen or shaping eco-friendly surfboards! For now, I have created handmade chalk bags for climbers, sustainable surfboard bags from upcycled old fabrics, and managed a local sustainable company that produces beeswax wraps to reduce plastic consumption and organizes ocean cleanups.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am very energetic, friendly, adaptable, and not afraid to try new things, while also being very devoted to completing tasks and committing to work. My mind is eager and willing to gain new knowledge and purposeful experiences! I love to teach, learn, and share. I've worked as a surf instructor on Vancouver Island, a climbing instructor, a yoga teacher, a sailing companion for adaptive athletes and people with disabilities. My previous workaways:
~ managed a villa-hotel and taught yoga for 3 months in Sri Lanka
~ receptionist, yoga teacher, and hospitality tasks in a hostel in Chile
~ receptionist, hospitable tasks and trek-planner for hikers in Patagonia
~ living on a catamaran in Colombia, doing typical boat duties such as scrubbing barnacles off the hull, cleaning and tidying ropes, etc
~ receptionist, photography, and content creation for hostels on the coast of Panama

I have my ISA Level 1 surf coach certification, PADI Open Water, and my 200hour RYT so practicing and teaching yoga to new faces is something I love to do. I also have all my National Lifeguarding certifications and First Aid/AED training. I got certified as a beginner competent crew last year but would love more experience on sailing passages.

I lived in a self-converted van for about a year so with this, I have some skills in building and construction. I love travelling, hitchhiking, and being on the go. I adapt well to many new environments and make the best time out of them.

I love to sing and play ukulele, guitar and piano – there's nothing like a big jam session to bring new friends together. I love to paint and create fun art, and passionate about photography, marketing, and social media.
