Hello!
I have been studying in New Zealand and have loved approaching each new day with a sense of wonder and adventure. It has been very rewarding to meet new people, explore new landscapes, and get new perspectives, and this is something I would like to pursue and continue through Workaway!
It brings me great joy to feel present in new communities - including the wider community of nature - and to help and communicate with people in various ways. It is very important to me to have appreciation and humility in front of all the wonderful opportunities I have had and hopefully continue to have! I would not necessarily say that I am particularly adventurous, but that is because every part of doing something new, no matter how small that may be, feels like an adventure to me.
My family includes many artists, so I feel that a creative spirit and curious mind have really been nurtured in me, and this is something I am very grateful for. I love meeting new people from all over who have any sort of stories to tell. I also love kids because they have such amazing imaginations!

My grandmother is from New Zealand, so it has been very special to come here. I hope I can be a respectful and companionable Workawayer to anyone I encounter. I understand not only the importance of hard work, but how a positive attitude from a stranger can make someone's day.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have worked in hospitality before as front of house in a restaurant, so understand how to politely and efficiently communicate with others, either customers or other members of a team. Any obstacles or new challenges I encountered would be ones I sincerely wanted to overcome in order to make things run more smoothly for all involved. I am eager to learn and happy to take instruction, whatever that may be.

I enjoy children and babies and am sure I would feel very comfortable taking care of kids. I have a large extended family so am used to having a lot of people around and the chaos that can come with this! I can easily find enjoyment in household chores, especially laundry, and am sure that I could competently cook a meal for many. I am not the most passionate chef, but do cook for myself.

I live in the countryside and enjoy being outdoors, so won't mind getting grubby if needed! It is part of life.

Most of all I would say I will be hard-working and appreciative of any opportunity I may receive. I respect that I could be generously provided a place in someone's home, and so will try my best to make myself as useful as possible and be a welcome presence.
