Hey! We are Charlotte and Phoebe, two friends who have grown up together in the English countryside, wanting to take our love of the outdoors over to the other side of the world.
New Zealand has been stuck in our minds since a young age, with the beautiful scenery as well as the way of life which inhabits it.
Our current travelling plans are quite loose and we are very open to what each day brings and where it takes us. However, we will be starting in Auckland working our way around North island to then travel over to South Island when we are ready.

A little bit about us…

Phoebe - ‘Hello! I’m Phoebe, I’m 23 years old, I have recently just left my corporate job of 4 years to make the move and travel the world. Outside of my day to day job, I also work as a groom at my local livery yard which has enabled me to work confidently around horses and in turn, other animals. Although I have a 9-5 office job, working with horses is definitely what I prefer to spend my time doing.

Outside of work, my main hobbies include reading, hiking and spending a lot of time with my family and friends. I would describe my personality as fun, friendly and outgoing. I’m an easy going person and like to ‘go with the flow’.

This trip has been a long time coming for both Charlotte and I, so I am excited to see what it beholds.”

Charlotte- Hey! I’m Charlotte, also 23 years old ready to finally be able to embark on this trip. I’m currently a university graduate from Sheffield university where I studied sociology and social policy which I loved. I was constantly surrounded by different people everyday, so I’m excited for this trip ahead where I can form new connections and hopefully friends.

A bit like Phoebe, I have also been surrounded by horses much of my life and have a love for animals and nature. I enjoy walking, camping and bird watching usually combined with music, podcasts and my friends. Since living in Sheffield I've also become a big fan of a wild swim, cold water makes me feel surprisingly great!

I’m a laidback person, and I take everything in my stride. I love chatting and learning new things, so I hope to find this in my time here.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Both of our skills include being competent in horsemanship and care as well surrounding animals e.g. dogs, cats, chickens etc. as well as general agricultural jobs. We also both have the pleasure of being Aunties, so enjoy babysitting and our experience with childcare. We enjoy cooking, baking and gardening and are adaptable to different environments, along with being quick learners.

Was noch ...

Charlotte LOVES a game of Cluedo and we both only know a couple card games so would be very interested in learning a few more…also always partial to a glass of wine!
