My name is Catherine Grizzard and I'm from the United States, specifically, the southern state of Georgia. I took a gap year when I turned 18 and used Workaway to live and travel in 7 countries for 9 months. Since then, I've worked in Alaska for several seasons, lived in Tanzania for 8 months and learned Swahili, and have solo traveled to several different countries.

I'm really passionate about people and different ways of life around the world. I'm really motivated, ready to work, and I've got a lot of great stories to tell. So I can't wait to meet you! :)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I've worked on farms, taught English, helped with an NGO for women's equality, lived in the jungle for a monkey rehabilitation project, aided Venezuelan refugees, and worked in hostels. There are so many experiences to have and I'm interested in all of them. I've had experience working as a birthday party host for children - so I'm pretty good with adults and kids both! I have a background in working in luxury lodges as a server stateside. I'm able to help with childcare, cleaning, and hostel reception work without much guidance once shown the ropes.

Most of my skills revolve around children, teaching English, hospitality, and farm work, but I'm willing to try anything.

My hobbies include camping, hiking, backpacking, surfing, and snowboarding.

Would like to learn more about humanitarian aid, eco projects, and animal care as I would like to be skilled and more informed on these matters.

I'm really looking for an authentic experience either out in nature or with a host who's interested in sharing all aspects of the culture.
