Beschreibung

Hello, we are Thomas and Camille, both 31 and from France, we come from a nice city in the French Alps. In Feb 2024, we decided to take a break with our lives and go travelling in Canada with a two year working holiday visa. We plan to keep travelling for another year - until early 2026 (because we can't get enough of Canada's beauty and meeting people!).
So far, we visited a lot of British Columbia, some parts of Alberta and Yukon. and we'd like to stay in the west until this summer, before eventually visiting Eastern Canada this fall.

We did a lot a workaways and developed many friendships and skills:
- construction : Thomas is a carpenter (almost 10 years of experience in France) and rope access technician (5 years of exp), he has been working in various construction sites and can help with any construction project, especially building frames, roofs and decks.
- cleaning : we worked in a vacation rental cleaning company for 3 months, as well as hotels. We can respect deadlines and we love making nice beds for guests !
- guest services : Camille worked for three months as a breakfast attendant in a hotel and can communicate with guests in French, English and Spanish
- gardening : we both love plants and gardening, and would be happy to help you with your veggies or flowers
- pet sitting : we love pets and had to take care of a few in our different workaways ; we'll be happy to meet new fur friends !!
- winter maintenance : we're used now to live in winter conditions so would happily shovel snow, start woodstoves or cut firewood/kindling,
- cooking : even if we don't have professional experiences in this field, we both love cooking, trying new recipes and eat healthy.

We're great outdoors enthusiasts, love hiking, skiing, climbing and discovering new places - but are also pretty happy with a book, board games or a movie night !
We both speak French and English (its not perfect, but we're working on it everyday) and have a car to travel by ourselves and live in more remote areas.

We'll be looking for new opportunities this spring/summer (even better if it's a paid position) so do not hesitate to contact us :)

We would both be very happy to teach you some French and to get better in English or other languages! Camille speaks pretty good Spanish too, and Thomas is half German, so knows the basics from his family

Was könntest du arbeiten?

Thomas is a certified carpenter and rope access technician ; he can help with any construction/wood related project, and know how to use tools. Camille has also helped for some project and can be a good labourer.
Camille can help with cleaning, general maintenance. She worked in the hospitality industry this past year in Canada, and previously in New Zealand. In France, she's managing projects in public health/social policies area.
We also both enjoy cooking and gardening and are confortable with animals and kids!

Was noch ...

Thomas smokes only outside and just once or twice a day (and it could also be outside of your property if you prefer). I (Camille) am a non smoker and absolutely hate the smell but I am not bothered by Thomas's smoke, it is always really respectful and discreet.
