i love hiking, skiing, discovering new places, taking pictures, watching sunsets and sunrises, going for a coffee, swimming, living adventures... and traveling, obv ;)

Beschreibung

Hello! I'm Bruna and I'm exploring new ways of traveling because it's on of the things I love the most, so I heard about workaway and I decide it to try it :)

I am looking forward to try a Workaway experience in Switzerland, from January-June/July 2025 at most.
I have already been in Switzerland the last autumn as an au pair and I would love to keep exploring this beautiful country while learning about a new culture, traditions and languages. I might have preferences on working with kids but I am open to any kind of project so don't hesitate to contact me!


I would consider myself extrovert, empathic, cheerful, energetic, generous, open-minded and active! I am as well a sociable person who loves taking care of their friends and family and also likes meeting new people even though I can be a bit shy in the beginning. I also love traveling, learning about new cultures and traditions, and experiencing new things!

I like to do all the normal things people love doing, like reading, listening to music or hanging out with my friends, but I also enjoy going hiking in the mountains, cycling or to the beach when it's summer. I also like sports, actually, I have played volleyball in the past for 5 years and I still love to play it whenever there's an opportunity. I attended music lessons and also played the flute for 2 years, so music sounds familiar to me, and now, although I don't take music lessons anymore, I play the ukelele and the guitar sometimes with my family or some friends who play other instruments too. Something I do very often too is taking pictures of every beautiful thing I see around me, sunrises and sunsets in special ;)

Was könntest du arbeiten?

My studies consist of a scientific baccalaureate, which contains Biology, Chesmistry and Maths, and I am looking forward to start the nursing degree at university next September, so environtment, climate change, health and human body are some topics I have knowledge about :)

I also like and enjoy a lot being with and taking care of kids.
I have been an au pair from three very energetic and intense kids aged 3, 6 and 8 years old for four months (September - December 2024).
I worked as a babysitter for two lovely girls once a week, and I have many little cousins who I have taken care of a lot during my life.
I am also a camp leader in a youth club where we do many different activities 2 Saturday afternoons a month with the kids. We are a team of camp leaders who think about what we will do on these afternoons, and we also go camping during Easter holidays and in the summer. The kids of our club are divided into 4 age groups, and each one does different things, but we also play some games together. The activities can range from games to group dynamics or excursions near the town.
I was a kid in this "youth club" until I was too old, and then I started being part of the camp leaders team two years ago.
I must also add to this, that I had lived in an intentional community for seven years (until I was 10) where I looked after kids who were younger than me lots of times, and I am working right now as a babysitter too. Likewise, I love treating children and learning with them.
I have also given individual lessons to kids with difficulties to study or do homework on their own, helping them with any academyc task needed.

I am looking forward to work in Switzerland, close to Zurich if it's possible, as I already lived there for a few months and I would like to be near by to what I already know.
