A nature lover who feels most at home in the mountains. I love to hike, ski, bike, camp, and really any activities that keep me outside. I also love sports like volleyball and basketball

Beschreibung

I’m an easygoing, curious person who’s always excited to try new things and learn practical skills. I love being outdoors, whether that’s hiking, biking, swimming, or just spending time in nature.

I had my first experience living abroad when I was 13, spending a year in Bavaria with host families through my German class. That experience gave me a lot of independence early on and started my love for travel, new cultures, and stepping outside my comfort zone. Since then, I’ve been motivated by opportunities to keep learning, exploring, and having special experiences.

I've now been fully nomadic and traveled to more than 50 countries over the last 4 years on a budget, trying to visit countries with negative perceptions or are perceived as dangerous to show we are all more similar than we think. I've loved the fast- paced travel life, learning new languages, experiencing different cultures, and having lots of travel stories to now share with new friends.
This year I want to slow down a bit and learn new skills while being in nature and the outdoors which is why I joined workaway.

I really enjoy meeting new people and connecting with others from different backgrounds. One of the main reasons I’m excited about Workaway is the chance to share daily life, learn from hosts, and experience different cultures in a slower and more genuine way.

I’m especially interested in learning more about farming, growing food, and working with my hands. I’d also love to build skills in carpentry and general construction. I’m a hard worker, adaptable, and happy to help with a wide range of tasks.

I grew up in a small town called Hinesburg in the state of Vermont, with a German mom, so I’ve been around other languages and cultures from a young age. Traveling with my family growing up had a big impact on me and shaped my interest in exploring the world.

I’m really looking forward to contributing, learning new skills, and sharing great experiences with the people I meet along the way.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I am a very hard worker who has had experience with many different things.
- I worked in a pizza restaurant for four years, doing food prep, ovens, and dealing with customer service
- I lived in Germany for a year by myself at age 13, which helped me learn independence and learn how to plan and get around on my own.
-Helped get a 33ft sailboat ready for the season, repainting, sanding, teaking the wood, cleaning down metal bars to remove rust, and cleaning it out in general.
-I started an online business selling used books, managed a team of 4 employees, and have learned how to build systems and manage a team through that
-did a 200-hour yoga teacher training certification
-I am fluent in German and can get around with my Spanish-speaking skills minimally
-I've spent the last 4 years now traveling full-time around the world to over 50 countries navigating language barriers, culture, and new experiences in each place.
-I also specialize in social media and have been using it to document my journeys the last four years in video and photo format.

Was noch ...

I've been traveling non-stop for 4 years now around the world, but have come to a point now where I'd love to stay places longer, learn new skills, and build more community in each place.

I love learning and connecting with new people from all walks of life and am grateful for each opportunity that comes my way.
