Tätigkeiten, die mich interessieren:

I am traveling through Southeast Asia to learn about its culture, but especially their fabrics. My intention is to learn how to weave, learn about their fabrics and their typical garments.

Hiya!!
My name is Ariadna, I am from Catalonia (Spain).
What to talk about me; talking professionally I have a background in Pattern Making, a Degree in Fashion design and a Master's in Design for performance.

After finishing my degree in Fashion Design I had my own clothes brand and did many hippie markets in Ibiza, Mallorca, Barcelona and Canary Island. During this time, I realised I couldn’t express myself properly in English and I lost the opportunity to know people deeply, that clicked in my head and I decided to start travelling around Europe. Some of the places I went to were Poland, Prague, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania… I realised was not enough just travelling and in 2018 I joined the Workaway platform.

I chose Ireland to carry out this Workaway experience, all the hosts I had were amazing I helped them build furniture with pallets, did gardening, painted houses, and much more. After that, I found a family in England (Northchapel) where I became an Aupair. I was there from September 2018 until July 2019. The family was so kind and wonderful I still have contact with them, they provided me with classes at Guilford University to improve my English, that experience was incredible and helped me to apply to the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama where I did my master's.

Once I finished my master’s studies I worked as a costume designer in different theatre, film and television, dance and circus companies. Also, I worked as a Costume technician at the same college where I did my master’s. Besides I bought a van and converted it into a campervan with my skills of carpentry.

Now, after 4 years of working and travelling around the UK, I decided that it was time to move and extend my knowledge. My next step is to travel through South Asia I want to learn about these cultures and, above all, know about weaving, fabrics, textiles, and traditional costumes.

I am open to working on all types of Workaway from art and creative projects to gardening or some new skills I can learn about. Of course, if there are Workaways that focus more on my background or interests like theatre, costumes, and textiles would be nice.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I consider myself to be a proactive young woman and creative, with lots of imagination. Apart from being a fashion and costume designer, I like everything related to art!

I enjoy painting and drawing; do carpentry I have done several pieces of furniture with pallets and built my own campervan. Also, I make sculptures of clay, wood and iron and I have a great time doing the whole process. If you'd like to see my work, just ask :)

When I was younger I worked as a waitress (to pay for my studies) and as a leisure instructor in campsites, resorts and different companies. Also as a sewing instructor, I gave recycled clothes, and crochet workshops in a social integration project with Moroccan women.

I like to learn and work on anything, I believe that everything you do in life contributes to and works for you in your daily life!
