Hi reader! I'm Annabel, a 19-year-old English girl who has been travelling Australia and Asia for over a year. I studied three sciences in my last two years at school, came out the other end exhausted and ready for an adventure beyond my desk, so I booked a one-way solo ticket to Sydney🏙🦘.
If you were to ask those who know me to describe me, they would tell you I'm a ‘pocket rocket’ who is always excited to try something new. To be able to make a change in someone else's life, no matter how big or small, is my dream for every day🌞. This is why I'm hoping to find opportunities in Asia to give back to communities who need it. I'm happy to be a helping hand wherever I'm needed. I would love to learn new skills as well as utilise mine, and I would also love to embrace different cultures and traditions.

My native language is English. I was raised in Spain for 5 years as a child, so what was once a fluency in Spanish is now a comprehension and brief ability to maintain a conversation. I would love to get back up to speed with Spanish if there was an opportunity. I would also be happy to teach English and to learn the basics of absolutely any other language.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

During my studies, mathematics was my favourite subject all the way through to my final years. I tutored 15 and 16-year-olds independently as a part time job while I was finishing school and helped them to pass their GCSEs (the British qualification). I would love to teach children Maths, Science and English as it is my native language. I also worked as a professional home cleaner for 3 months in Melbourne so am trained in cleaning and housekeeping.
I have worked picking and packing on a ginger farm, and managing a team of pickers on a strawberry farm, both of which I really enjoyed. Building a bond with the pickers from Timor-Leste has been my favourite part of travelling so far. Developing a connection that surpassed any language barrier and sharing cultural experiences is a feeling that will stay with me forever.
Even though I love to laugh and enjoy my time, I have nearly two years of hospitality experience so am more than able to put on a professional face😇

I adore being in the water; I'm no star in any water sports, but I live for the feeling of swimming and the freshness of the water. I also really enjoy reading fictional books - nothing beats a story that looks however you imagine it.
More than anything, I am eager to share my skills, experience and passion with people while taking in the lifestyle of worlds outside of my own.
