Beschreibung

I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, with my parents and 5 siblings. My parents loved to travel and encouraged us to do so. I have been very fortunate to travel to many parts of this beautiful planet. Throughout my life I have been very focused on ways to create a more peaceful world. I worked as a trainer at a community mediation center in North Carolina for 7 years and have continued to teach workshops in communication and conflict resolution skills ever since through my own business, Growing Peace.

I have taught movement classes for children and yoga classes for adults. My husband and I also ran a retreat center for many years. We love gardening together and grow much of our food.

At this point I am looking for a workaway situation in Mexico for about 2-4 weeks starting in early January of 2024. I have been studying Spanish for several years and am making progress slowly but surely! I hope to be able to use what Spanish I know and learn more. I enjoy working with others on projects where I feel I am making a positive difference in the world whether that is teaching English, playing with kids, working in a garden, etc. So many ways to have fun together!

Teaching communication and conflict resolution skills, computer skills, English (no certification, just strong academic background in English.)

I have good interpersonal skills as well as experience coordinating events. I have taught movement classes for children and gentle yoga for adults. I have lots of gardening experience.
