olá!

i'm beatriz, 22 years old. i'm from portugal but i've been living in belgium/netherlands for the last 2 years. before that, i workawayed non-stop with about 15 projects and families for a year.

i thrive in communities with like-minded people - i cherish all the friendships i made with my hosts/roommates during my time travelling. i'm mostly looking for places with a community of workawayers, rather than one or two.
this is actually how i found my way into my current home, i came across an off-grid community in belgium and stayed there for a year. from there onwards, everything flowed until i officially moved and started working in the city nearby :)

i'm really into meditation & yoga. i volunteer often at a buddhist retreat in belgium as a cook and i recently completed my first vipassana 10 day course. that's 10 days of pure sitting meditation, no talking, reading, nothing. you could say i don't get bored easily :) I'm a pretty mindful person.

i was attending art school before leaving portugal and in 2025/2026 in intend to go back there and take a course in herbology. i'm really into art, music (with my handpan), fire dancing but also gardening, drying herbs, cooking vegan food.

_ experience with farm animals (feeding, cleaning their enclosures, helping with newborn animals, bottlefeeding, etc).
_ weeding, planting, gardening, harvesting, mowing the lawn.
_ milking goats and making goat cheese!
_ cooking & baking (vegan)
_ simple construction work, painting houses, woodcutting, etc.
_ riding and maneuvering a tractor.
_ video editing, photography, designing posters.
_ i'm an artist, mostly interested in drawing people but also landscape and animals. i'm always drawing whoever lives with me :)
