Hi, I’m Ana
I’m from Lisbon, Portugal.
I’m an artist at heart. I’m an illustrator, animator and tattoo artist. Drawing, painting and telling stories through art are the things that bring me joy and fulfillment.
I’ve been vegan for 4 years, vegetarian since I was 13. I truly love animals and do not contribute to their exploitation.

WHAT IM LOOKING FOR:
I want to learn more about nature, be in touch with it. I’ve lived in a city all my life and miss that connection.
I want to learn about sustainability, see other ways of living, in harmony, with nature.
I would love to take care of animals and give them all the love they deserve.
I wish to spend my free time working on my portfolio, so drawing and illustrating.

I consider myself an open book. I’m very calm and will share who I am, honestly. I’m funny when I’m comfortable but a bit shy at first. I’m an introvert but I’ve learnt how to talk to anyone.
I love dancing and yoga.
I love traveling, especially solo. I don’t like to impose myself on others and am well in my own company, drawing and listening to music.

Was könntest du arbeiten?
My skills are mostly art-based.
I draw and paint, digitally and traditionally, stuff like portraits, comics, illustrations and actual paintings.
I can do some design work like logos, brand identity, etc..
I love teaching art to kids.
I do tattoos.

I don’t mean to brag but I’m an excellent vegan cook. I love cooking and being creative with the food I make.

I speak English fluently. And Portuguese, of course. I could teach Portuguese.

I’m a makeup artist, as well.

However I can do any job you throw at me.
I’m fit, a fast learner and very committed to doing a good job. I’m competitive only with myself.

I danced all my life. Ballet, contemporary, Irish dance, Bollywood, jazz, broadway and pole dance. I love dancing,
I’m an art history nerd. I love cinema, especially animation (which I studied in college). I’ve made a short animated film and I have another one in the works.
I’m full of passion and intensity, on the inside, but I am very calm and chill.

Vom Workawayer () für Host (Experience rural life with ...)

I had an amazing time in Perdifumo with Luisa and Patrick.
It was an incredible experience that I truly won't forget.
They are kind, funny and a joy to be around.

vom Host (Enjoy gardening in a ...) für Workawayer ()

The workaway experience with Ana was great, so I recommend this young girl from Lisbon because besides being very intelligent, she is also a good worker.
Ana wrote to me to come and do workaway at my farm, so we agreed and she arrived as planned.
After a first day of getting to know each other, we got to work, and set up the area to build a small… read more wooden house. From the second day onwards she was very good and helpful in building a small wooden house with me, so she was a very good helper for me.
After a few days of hard work, sometimes even in the rain, we did part-time work for a couple of days, so that after a couple of hours of working together she had the day off to pursue her own activities.
Then she was kind because on a day that could have been her day off, we had to finish building the roof of the little wooden house, so she gave up her day off to help me build the wooden roof, and so she was able to have the day off the next day, and she was kind to meet the needs of this place, especially because it was raining and the little wooden house definitely needed a roof.
Besides being a great help, she is also a nice and intelligent girl, so it was nice to spend a few days with her. From the third day onwards, we devoted ourselves very seriously to assembling the log cabin until it was practically finished.
So these days with Ana were really fun, exceptional days that combined gardening and pleasure in an exquisite way.
Ana wrote to me a few weeks before coming, and together we chose the best time. Then she came and adjusted to the dates that worked best for both of us. From the first day we started talking very pleasantly and became great friends, and then we immediately started working together in the garden, so that we could enjoy the sunny days even in the cool February weather. We concentrated on cleaning an area where I'm building a wooden house, so we carefully cleaned the concrete platform for the wooden house (which in turn will house future workawayers!) and then we pruned the trees around it, both olive and laurel trees.
Ana was really good and very clever and active in helping me, she immediately understood how to use the tools, she carefully cleaned the path, working very hard and always concentrating on the work, and then in the evening we had fun together talking and eating together, quietly. Really Ana was very good at cleaning up the branches, the leaves, and above all at removing the soil from the ground, so that I could assemble the little wooden house. Together we also rearranged the log cabin and in a few days the whole area took on a completely different look!
So my workaway experience with Ana was extremely positive, and I highly recommend this girl who was born in Lisboa, because in addition to being very good and willing, she is also very nice and it is pleasant to spend time in her company.
Ana is a dynamic and enterprising girl, and she wrote to me in a very nice way on workaway, from which I could immediately understand her positive energy!
Ana arrived here in Gavorrano quietly, and after a convivial first evening in which we dined together, the next morning we immediately set to work in the garden: she helped me a lot to sort out all the branches that are on the ground after the pruning of the olive trees over the last few months, so she was very good at collecting the branches, dividing them according to size, cutting them, and cleaning up leaves and twigs, collected in small groups.
We also had a lot of fun, and as she loves good food, it was very nice to cook different dishes for her every day, experimenting with new recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner, which she certainly enjoyed :)
In fact, in addition to the passion for good food, with Ana we also shared the passion for good music!
Finally, I highly recommend this Portuguese girl, because in addition to being energetic and nice, she is also very strong and very good at working in the garden, and I really appreciated that from the first day she learned to work independently, setting the alarm clock early, to being able to work in the best hours of this cold winter.
Thanks again for all your help dear Ana, and it was a lot of fun!
