Hi! I’m Amanda and I’m from Montreal, Canada. I taught TESL in Korea for a year in 2020 after getting my B.A. in Journalism. I love to explore new places and meet people along the way. My passions are writing, editing, and photography. I have been working on a travel blog for some time, and two of my favourite things to find while travelling are cafés and bookstores.

Was könntest du arbeiten?

I have 7 years of costumer service. Recently, I worked at an hotel on the Isle of Skye. I was a receptionist, housekeeper, and server. I have worked mainly in cafés, but have some experience in restaurants. I am good with people and can work under pressure. I was a barista for many years and make great coffee!

I have a TESL certification and have taught children both in person and online.

I was editor in chief of a Her Campus university magazine and studied journalism and creative writing. I enjoy editing written work and videos, and have basic knowledge of Wordpress.

I am goof with animals and enjoy being around them. I grew up with cats and have taken care of dogs, too.

I am fluent in English and French. My third language is Portuguese; it's a conversational level.

I am a quick learner, and possess organizational skills. I love working in a team, but I can also work independently when needed.

Was noch ...

I love reading and writing fiction.
My favourite movie genres are rom-coms, comedies, and horror (though the last never alone).
I am currently taking Italian classes on Rosetta Stone.
I bought two film cameras a couple of years ago that I've affectionally named Gertie and Camille.
I also have a videocamera that I want to push myself to use for travel vlogs and expand my blog.
I had a radio show/podcast at my university's radio station called Here For It. It was really fun to do, and I hope I can do another in the future.
