Beschreibung
Hi! We are Alba and Joel, currently travelling the East Coast together in a van. We started close to Geelong (Victoria) in March and we are now staying in Magnetic Island!
We met each other about one year and a half ago. Joel is 26 and he is from Australia. He was travelling for two years around Europe and the Middle East. Meanwhile, (I am 27 and from Spain) I was starting my experience in a solo trip in Egypt, then we meet! Since then, we have been travelling together working around the world in hotels, hostels, guesthouses and restaurants.
We have a part-time job (very small hours) as housekeepers at Peppers Blue on Blue Resort, but we are looking for somewhere where we can stay in our van, have toilet and shower facilities and lovely people with who we can share our time with.
To introduce ourselves as a couple, we are very calm, welcoming, respectful and reflexive people. We love community but also we respect our time by ourselves. We enjoy nature the most, the montains, the beach and the sports related to it (hiking, snorkeling...) We are hard workers and we are always trying to make the best of ourselves to make everyone feel comfortable. We enjoy companionship and connection.
To talk a little bit about us individually so you can know our skills and interests:
· Alba: I have graduated in Fine Arts and I am currently taking an online degree in Social Education. I have a wide experience as an artist, as an art teacher in high school, and conducting workshops, as well as in hospitality. I am a native speaker in spanish and catalan and I speak fluent English. My goals for the next years is living in places I am deeply interested in (arabic countries and hinduist cultures) to learn enough to be able to perform as a social worker specialized in migration and integration processes of different communities. I love running, hiking, the beach, cooking (I have some cooking projects going on with creative and respectful cuisine), handcrafts design (I am currently selling my macrame jewellry at Selina's campground) languages learning (I am slowly learning Hindi and I am interested in Arabic) and making strong and intimate connections with others. I am a very active person but I am also introverted so I enjoy time alone in silence in the nature. I am very sensitive, caring, open minded and a mature person. I am always open to new experiences.
· Joel: I have a many years experience (7+) as a boilermaker (welder) and have learned to collect a vast amount of knowledge in contruction, metal work and carpentry. I also have the skills necessary to work with dangerous equipment such as saws, drills, hammers, angle grinders, belt sanders and numerous other electrical tools, while also practicing safe working procedures and have a strong sense of work, health and safety. I have a certified contruction white card and also a FL forklift license. Recently I have also completed a english teaching certificate (TEFL) and look to use that in the future with the context of teaching english in other countries so I can provide an enjoyful and meaningful service to other cultures while also learning about the culture I find myself in. I love skateboarding, hiking, travelling and meeting people from different areas of the world. I am a very peaceful, sympathetic and friendly person and am completly open to new experiences and people.

Graduated in Fine Arts from University of Barcelona and in Playwriting from Ateneu Barcelonès.
Work experience: High school tutor in arts (2020-2022), visual artist (since 2019 to currently working on), art workshops with children (since 2019), waitress in a coffee shop (2019), cook in a pizza restaurant (2016-2018)
